Hello!! I have a 2020 c63s coupe and was just wondering what 0-60 times you guys have been able to get via the track pace app and how accurate those numbers are compared to something like a racelogic vbox.
I went to go test my cars acceleration today but looks like I misplaced my vbox during my last move so I had to settle for using the 0-60 measurement on the track pace app.
In the past on my old cars I've had the following results via the racelogic vbox
2011 R8 v10 R-Tronic-3.9s (no launch control)
2018 AMG GTC Roadster- 3.5s(with launch)
2014 Audi S6 APR Stage 2- 3.4s(with launch)
2016 Audi RS7 APR Stage 1- 3.1s (with launch)
2016 Audi RS7 Stock- 3.4s (with launch)
2014 911 Carrera S PDK- 4.2s(with launch)
My best time registered on the c63s was 4.03 seconds via Track Pace. What times are you guys seeing on the Track Pace App? I s
till had some decent wheelspin in first and even going into second so still some room for improvement with better grip. Still on the stock 285 PSS.
Mainly just seeing if anyone has compared times between the track pace app and a racelogic vbox so I can get a better idea of how fast the c63s is compared to some of my previous cars in measured street accelerations

I think Track pace is pretty accurate. I tried both Vbox and track pace at the same time with same results. Best I got was 4.06 but with lots of wheel spin. I think 295 or 305 width Ps4s tires will improve that time.
Were you using the 1ft rollout option on the vbox when you ran them both at the same time?
I had a bunch of 4.2-4.6 reading before I managed the 4.03...tough to get this car to hook even in the warm weather we have here in Florida. Crazy how much more traction the AMG GT line has...my GTS and GTC were so much easier to get good launches in with the same PSS tires just in 295 and 305 width respectively.

Something like a PS4S will hook up better and a Cup 2 even better. What temperature were your rear tires for that 4.03 time?

According to the reading in the car the rears were at 109 degrees. This was after several other attempts with lots of wheelspin so I would think they were adequately warm but admittedly I'm not really sure what Temps are considered warm for tires.

109 is about normal. I get that on a warm day just driving on the highway. That's not really warm. Around 160 is hot for reference. Below is what I got after just one lap on the Nurburgring. The right front actually went into the red, but that turned out to be heat soak. It went back down once I was back out and air was flowing. I had my tire pressure set for street use, so they got pretty high and I should have lowered them.

I know cup 2s really need to get some heat in them to function optimally but I've been under the impression that the PSS don't really benefit as much from getting hot. Just so long as they aren't cold. I'm running the rears at 32psi cold btw not sure how much of a difference that makes.
Not even sure I could do a burnout anyways as even with the TC fully off via the 9 stage system it still will cut power if I start spinning too much. Doesn't really seem to be a way to turn off all the nannies.

No 1ft rollout. I went through the same 4.2-4.6 readings because it just wouldn’t hook. I think the air pressure also needs to be dropped to get a good launch.

Ya I have it in race mode with the esc set to off (held down for several seconds) then use the knob to turn tc off fully. It definitely still intervenes a little bit if the wheelspin gets to crazy. Maybe its the stability control? Seems to only cut in if the back end starts stepping out.

I think what you are feeling is the electronic locking differential trying to send the torque to the wheel with more grip. Torque vectoring is also still active, so around corners AMG DYNAMICS will help you get most out of the car, but there is definitely nothing that keeps the car from going sideways with TC all the way off. Give it too much throttle and you'll end up in a 360 sooner than you can think. Nothing will stop you. We drifted the cars with TC at 3, 6 and fully off. It's nearly impossible to drift at level 3. At level 6 you can get some minor drift going, but with fully off it will go sideways as much as you want. Ended up in a few 360s after giving it too much throttle.
Hmmmm I don't know...i definitely feel it cut power for a second. I've owned an AMG GTS and a GTC which both have the e-diff and this feels like nothing those cars ever did...
I will say this is just flooring it from a stop in a straightline....not while trying to toss it through corners. I have no doubt that this would go fully sideways if you wanted it to!

For reference, the spec'd optimal operating range Michelin Cup 2 tires is 60-80 deg C (140-176 deg F). FWIW, I've run both PS4S and Cup 2 tires on tracks and found that the PS4S runs at about the same temps (using an infra-red temp gun in pits at end of 20 min sessions).

Dragy is the new standard, vbox is old hat. All those times can be improved by going downhill and neither trackpace or vbox will account for that.

Yeah I've heard of that. I was mainly interested in comparisons between vbox and track pace since that is what I used to test all my other cars over the last few years and just wanted to get an idea of where the c63s stacked up relative to those times.
If I was going to buy another data logger it would probably be dragy.
Actually figured it out.
you need to plant your foot to the floor which is doesn’t feel normal to do but it actually works.
I have a problem though.
Once you let go of the accelerator, the wheel spin, then the traction control cuts in and stops it accelerating fast. I understand you may need to completely disengage the Traction Control buy holding the button completely.
is there something I can do with the Traction Control partly on?
