Downpipes that dont smell?
Anyone have catted down pipes that dont smell? I just purchased a 2017 C63S edition 1 and want to do a tune and DP with cats and intake but I dont understand all these threads that have DPs that cause cabin exhaust or gas odor.
I gave a shelby GT500 super snake as well with long tube rave headers and high flow cats and have never smelled a thing. Exhaust systems are sealed and closed so how can smells enter the cabin?

So to the OP, my opinion, is depending on what/how its done, could cause various results.

Mine only smells when I'm stopped like at a drive thru or when I'm inside a parking garage. All I do to remedy that is to recirculate the air and it goes away. I wouldn't worry too much unless you spend a lot of time inside the car with the windows down and in standing traffic. Or if you like to just hang out inside your car in your garage lol.

question about the serie pipes:
i removed the first cat out from the stock pipes. do i lose power cuz the cavity? (high rpms maybe?)
a mate told me, i should install pipes inside the stock pipes now, for better flow.

I have zero issues with exhaust odor in the cabin of my 17’ C63S AMG (catless, TCU tune, stage 2 ECU). Quite the opposite as it still smells new in my sedan.
