Weird Limp Mode Experience
So I was driving in a parking lot and I switched it from Comfort to Sport Plus. Once I did that, the car shut off and all the lights came on in the dash. I panicked and restarted the car and it ran fine. I want to add that my car was not in proper driving condition (Oil temps were still blue), but this isn't the first time I switched it from Comfort to Sport Plus while it was still cold. The car is still fine, but I don't think it should of went into limp mode because I wasn't even driving more than 5-10 mph. Has this happened to anyone here?

I started the car up right after and it ran normal after. The car has barely 30k miles and its a 2017 coupe. I'd take it to the dealer by Keyes Van Nuys and Beverly Hills Mercedes is closed. I'm going to drive it around today and see it happens again. I want to add that when the car showed all the lights going off(not just the check engine, but literally every light), I couldn't drive it at all. The engine was shut off, it was like my car was in neutral but all the lights were flashing. I heard you can still drive on limp mode, but this wasn't the case.

I asked around in my AMG group on IG and they said that I stalled it. This sounds a lot more clear to me than a simple battery running out. I found a thread where this guy had the same situation happen to him.

Take it to local auto parts store and have them scan it for codes. You can look up the codes and get an idea of what could have been the cause, until you find a dealer that can take a closer look.

Sounds more like a stall than a limp mode. Automatic cars shouldn’t stall so that’s a different issue.
Only time I ever had an automatic car stall on me was when there was a transmission issue.
