I have the same 3 color system as you. Comparing it to what is shown in those pictures it seems like any retrofit would be pretty involved and probably cost prohibitive.

There are multiple vendors on eBay selling kits for center console, doors, and footwell for around $300. Another $300 and you can get the lights in the A/C vents. The sky is the limit. I wonder how difficult it is in particular the door lights as they go on the bottom of the panel with the seat controls and speakers.

Did you find any that dont get power through the cig lighter? i would like the ambient lighting but it has to be discrete.
yes, the once for ~ $300 on e-bay appear to wire directly into your system and you can control them through your OEM vehicle control settings. Here is one for sedan w/o oem 3 color setup.

thats the problem i ran in to when searching before. wasnt able to find a proper one for the coupe.
Well guys I pulled the trigger and spent 1.2 on a complete upgrade (+a few additional)
It's supposed to be 100% plug and play with 0 wire cutting
& the biggest pro....controlled through the OEM color changer, 100% stock look
About 2 weeks shipping, will post results.
64 ambient kit roughly
5 front air vent
2 rear vents
3d rotating tweeker speakers x2
Burmeister cover replacements x4
front dash silver trim peice replacement
All this supposed to work and be in synced with 64 colors
hey looking at the pics it looks like they are showing it for the Face Lift style vents. Im assuming if you order lights for the vents, it doesnt matter if you have the turbine style vent or not?

I have the older style, but they providing the turbine vents with color built in, so it's a vent swap as much as a color upgrade.
