Air Con Bad Smell when is OFF and HOT air
When the air con of the car was off I had a weird bad smell coming from air vents with hot air. So I thought that I have to change the filters (inside and outside) on the car so I did. I still have a bit of HOT air coming from air vents and a weird smell and I was wondering if anyone is having this problem especially now that is summer and car tends to get higher temps.

There is a pending class action lawsuit for the bad mold smell coming from the a/c.
Here is one website talking about it but the class action is still pending review by a judge

Here's an idea, do you work out and then go to your car without taking a shower at the gym? That smell happens to me on my old C350, but I haven't experienced it in my C63. Food for thought.

The solution is pretty much the same on every other car that has this kind of problem with a funky smell from the air conditioner: Remove the filter under the hood and spray lysol in there and do the same for the under the dash filter as well.
That is often not a permanent fix and you will have to do that each time you start smelling it.

Funny this came up - I just used my AC for the first time today since I bought it. It smelled like a cow pasture!! I turned the re-circulation option on and it went away so its not me
. Bit different symptoms than op. I will be switching out the filter under the hood asap! Would have thought since it's a cpo it would have been changed out...

Went back and looked, you did not mention spraying Lysol.
