Any way to increase sound without voiding warranty?
I have a 2016 W205 C63S that just hit 8K miles. I have a 5 year / 60K mile extended warranty.
Is there any way to get more sound without voiding the warranty?
Thanks guys.
Thank you for the suggestion, but nah! The whole point is trying to find something.. anything.. that won't lead to voiding my warranty. If there isn't even the smallest way of doing this, then I will just leave it as be.

I was in the same situation as you, deleted the 2ndary cats and wow !! Big difference ( even in comfort ) and took in my 2017c63 in for service and no mentions or coments from dealer about this. I also dont have the PE, in other words this is yout best way to go.......
My local MB dealership offers performance upgrades (downpipes, tunes, etc). Wonder if they would honor warranty work if you paid their ridiculous price tag for downpipes.

In any case, certainly would not hurt to ask. I tried to get a similar commitment from a MB dealer who says they are authorized to do RennTech upgrades...I ask Renntech directly and they, surprisingly, told me dont count on it. I never got the full scoop but just the fact that the dealer was not answering straight told me that I am on my own when it comes down to it. So, I saved money and did not go the dealer option for my modifications.

I will let you folks know what the dealership says.. but I'm thinking it will be similar to your experience.
and of course what item your are attempting to warranty.. I know you prob got a good deal on the extended and thats great, but I always say, just got with a 3rd party, and that way its not an issue.
I have RennTech mods, and AWE Exhaust, and have had cosmetic and brakes etc warrantied, but haven't had an issue with drive-train or other items that would require them to ask or question the MOD or NOT.

The warranty isn't MB, it's aftermarket. Your post prompted me to dig thru my emails to find the contract. I'd read the exclusions before, but after reading them again, I'm thinking it might be okay.
I'm going to attach the exclusions here, let me know what you think.
Almost sounds to me like they will cover it, so long as the car does not have modifications that are janky and half-assed?

I owned a Giulia QV and my SA was informing me that they are trying to void engine warranty on a customer’s car because of an exhaust. I am sure they won’t get away with that but just the frustration of the back and forth and possible lawyers getting involved.... He even told me that they may void engine warranty for drop in filters. Let’s just say that I sold my car quickly after that. My service experience was already horrendous and I couldn’t imagine the BS if I had a real problem.
I am still debating on modifying. I have catted DP in hand, have a 2020 C63s and am debating on installation soon. Compared to my W204 C63 P31, all I did was cut the secondary cats and the car was almost everything I wanted from this type of car. For various reasons, I traded it in for the C63s. It does not have the same visceral thrill when driving and the exhaust note is just so neutered that I do have a little bit of remorse. And so it is a risk/benefit for me - small risk of a failure that might be voided by DP (but no tune) vs the excitement of have the right exhaust note every time I hit the gas. Really, if I never had the W204, I would be happy as-is. But aside from the high-pitched Ferrari exhaust notes or an old muscle car with lopey idle, the W204 C63 was the best exhaust bark I could hope for. Even my BMW service advisor commented that exhaust note alone makes him jealous.

Regarding DP, you won’t be disappointed. It makes a huge difference on a 2020 model. Cracks between shifts, pops and bangs are all there after DP install.
Oil filter, pads, discs, tyres, exhaust, air filter (drop in), pollen filter etc are all replaceable and won't void warranty.
A decat might, but i can't see how a catted pipe would.

So long as they meet the necessary standard there is little MB can do. I'm not sure what the standard is for brake pads but I can assure you MB will have to meet them, it's not the other way round.
It's not unusual to have multiple suppliers of the same product supplied to any manufacturer.
A catted downpipes that meet emissions standards would not cause a warranty issue. There really is little MB can do about it.
