New Owner of 20' C63s Coupe Seeking Mods advice

Hey everyone! Just picked up my new 2020 C63s Coupe! Super stoked on the purchase and wanted to get some info on mods that I plan on doing (what the best strategy is / where to find parts) As you can see, the paint is designo Diamond White metallic and has the AMG Aerodynamics Package. I live in the northeast in the Boston area so feel free to shoot me a message if you wanna link up and drive!

Modifications I plan on doing (with questions):
  • Black out front-apron A-wing & Side Window Trim
    • What is the easiest/ cost effective way to do this: wrap or paint?
  • Carbon Fiber Mirrors
    • Anyone have links for these (cost effective vs quality)
  • Carbon Front Lip & Rear Diffuser & Side Skirts
    • Does having the Aerodynamics package change things? Does it change fitment?
    • Please add links for these (cost effective vs quality)
  • Carbon Fiber steering wheel
    • My car unfortunately didnt come with the carbon fiber steering wheel option
    • Looking for suggestions on either oem or aftermarket steering wheels (does having the touch control buttons affect this change?)
  • Should I do Ceramic Pro?
    • Alternatives and or clear wrap for protection?
  • Winter tire setup?
    • Living in the northeast means gnarly winter.. what do people think I should put on for a winter set up?
  • Want to black out wheels..
    • Should I paint the stock ones?
    • Do I keep stock ones for winter and buy new rims for summer setup?
Thanks everyone! Don't forget to include the links to where I can purchase and cost!

- Get everything wrapped
- Look on ebay for carbon pieces along with the steering wheel. You can reuse your current buttons and airbag on the new wheel.
- Powdercoat wheels.
- If you want less swirls then ceramic coat, paint protection film if you dont want rockchips on the paint.

Congrats on the car. I don't have much input on the cosmetic stuff you are planning to do. I ordered mine from the factory with the Aero package and the CF exterior packages, so mirrors, A-wing, spoiler and rear apron are CF. You can get the OEM parts probably through the parts department if you want to go that route. I don't like the CF steering wheel, but you can also get the OEM one if you'd like or you can checkout CKM Car Design. They build aftermarket custom steering wheels that look like OEM plus you can add additional stuff to them like LED shift lights and LCD displays.

I did full front Xpel PPF, mirrors, door edges and door handle cups and rear bumper. If you like the paint to stay pristine and free of rock chips, that's pretty much a must. Never really bought into the Ceramic Pro stuff, but then again it only rains about 60 days on average here and the rest of the year is dry.

As for winter tires, well you will find that to be difficult to nearly impossible. This car is no winter car and there are essentially no winter tires for it and you can't really go with smaller wheels, either. The front won't fit 18" wheels. Some have said that dealerships have an allotment of Pirelli Sottozero 3 in the 19/20 sizes, but Tire Rack says the tire is not available for the coupe. There's only one option on Tire Rack, the Sottozero 2, but the rears are closeout sale 2017 production tires (only 2 left in stock). May have to check closer to the winter season to see what's available, but its pretty much one or none.

Beautiful car. I have the 2019 C63S coupe and live in NYC so must like you have to have snow tires as this is my DD. So, In October 2019 I called Tire Rack who were out or on 2-3 week back ordered, Tire Rack SA said once they sell out that it for the year. I have the stock staggered F: 19/ 255 and rear: 20/ 285 size. So on October 23, 2019 I called the Tire Specialist at the MB Dealership who could have the Pirelli, next generous Winter Sottozero 3. by tomorrow.. I placed the order over the phone that day. The Dealership stored the 4 snow tire for about 1 month and the last week in nov.I

The pirelli Sottozero 3 felt very safe, handled great and in freezing rain/ice condition I never felt I was going to lose the car. For this past winter I had them installed on my stock wheels AMG Forged Cross Spoke Wheels Black,.
Below is an Invoice photo of my order date 10/23/2019 . There are the part numbers, inventory numbers and tire numbers to help with you or anyone else search. The invoice was $1,592.58 with tax $137.36= $1,729.94 but with a $150 discount (4 tires) total was $1579.94. Balanced and Installed
drove out to the Dealership and had them installed.

Below is copy

I swear by Pirelli Sottozeros for my CLS. They are phenomenal winter tires.

Looks lovely, I like the silver wheels, KW HAS kit to lower it and some fatter rubber and you got a nice looking ride.

I'd leave the wheels alone to be honest. They look great and black wheels have been beat to death.

I was trying to post the link for CKM Car Design, but for some reason it's getting censored, so you'll have to google them.

That's only applicable to older models. The start/stop button used to have a removable cover and if removed it revealed a slot to stick the key in and start the engine if the key fob battery was dead, so there are various aftermarket covers to replace the OEM silver one like the example below. The start/button now is one piece and no longer has a removable cover. It's illuminated and pulsates like a heartbeat when you get in the car. The fob is different and no longer has a place to stick it in if the battery is empty. Instead there's a place under the passenger side cup holder where you place it and it powers the key temporarily via induction so the car can be started.

New start/stop button:

New start/stop button:

I have the older setup and can change out the button. Just looking for some links or suggestions on the buttons. Did a quick google, but didn’t find any website/option that stuck out to me. Looking for a carbon fiber variation, but open to others

Oh sorry, for some reason I thought you were the OP. Should have looked closer. So the image above I took from an ebay listing. Just googled for "AMG keyless go cover".

I have a 20 as well and really want to lower it with HR springs but I'm seeing alot of issues with our cars in reference to camber etc. And tbh it's mostly the PFL models which probably don't make much of a difference. Trying to get some good info on here. Your ride looks good.

I got carbon mirror caps from RW Carbon: https://www.rwcarbon.com/mercedes-w2...lacements.html
Very happy with these - fit is great, well made, and seems like a quality product. RW generally has positive reviews as far as I've seen.
