2020 Selenite Grey c63s coupe
Hello,
I'm quite impressed with this forum. Ya'll are very helpful and knowledgeable.
I thought I'd make a thread for my new car, even though I don't have the car yet! I purchased a new c63s that is out of state. Currently waiting for the car to be picked up and delivered. I have not driven a c63s once. I simply decided, after researching and watching videos of cars, this is what I wanted and the ultimate surprise will come when I drive it for the first time. Not worried about a rough ride. Not worried about backseat space. I want a fun head-turning car and I believe my choice was a good one. If my wife damages this car, I swear I will... 🤔😜😢
I feel good with the deal I got but who really knows. The car does not have many options which was my preference as I only wanted a couple andiit was too late for a custom build. No need to spend money on stuff you don't want. I know I would accidentally break the mouse pad for the command system, so finding a c63s without it was my preference although I wish MB would offer a driver's assist package without the need for the joystick.
Since it's later in 2020, the pickens were quite slim. Many c63s cars out there were over $90k with many options and I just didn't feel comfortable with that price point. Many were black and my last coupe was a black Infiniti G35 (back when Infiniti's name meant a little something) so I didn't want black. I almost bought a polar white one with white/black seats. Polar white is beautiful on this car and I've seen many pics on here. I almost bought a magno car but after research and reading horror stories, I decided against it.
The car I found is glossy selenite grey with the 19" 5 spoke rims. Not the black forged. Options include carbon trim, 12.3 cluster, and carbon steering wheel (a huge plus to me), night package, and heat/vent seats.
The mods I have planned include:
PPF xpel stealth to get the matte look that I love. Really the main reason I bought selenite was to matte it as I think it looks wonderful. I already found and visiting a company to do the job.
Tint the windows
Blackout the rims but keep the same oem rims. I'm not a flashy rims guy and I like the 5 spoke. I think the rims will be done in a satin, no gloss. I'm not sure. I need to see the car wrapped in ppf before making a decision on the rims. They may be just fine as is.
Since the car has yellow stitching, I am debating painting the calipers yellow. I am a fan of the look. I found a reputable company that does this work, multiple coats, etc.
I think I also want to blacken the door handles somehow. That will be last on the list. Not sure where to go for that.
I'll post pics progressively.
Thanks

Congratulations. I only drove a sedan as the dealer didn't have Coupe and didn't push it at all since it was one of those dealers. Not sure how you sell performance cars if you can't properly test drive one. Go test drive a Porsche or Lambo, they will let you properly test drive one. It's all about the sizzle. I decided to buy the Coupe without test driving it and luckily it wasn't a mistake. Love the car so far.

Looking forward to pics of the car and the stupid crazy kiddy look on your face when it arrives, I still have a pic with the red bow last Christmas on my 2020 Selenite on black coupe... You have still another twin out there.

Wow great cars, thanks for sharing.
Maintenance plan....yay or nay? Dealer tried selling me 4 years for $3,000. This is what the dealer stated the costs would be without the plan...are these factual?
10K: $456.00 plus tax (A-Service, Wipers)
20K: $738.00 plus tax (B-Service)
30K: $1620.00 plus tax (A-Service, Wipers, Transmission Service, Rear Differential Service, Engine Air Filters)
40K: $738.00 plus tax (B-Service)
Totalling: $3552.00 plus tax if he would pay for these services as he goes.

I noticed the rotors are rusty. I asked the dealer to clean them but I assume the rust will come off after a few days of driving, correct? Should I be concerned? I guess the car has been on the lot for a few months.
Thanks

Here's the car. I kind of feel those stock wheels are just fine and would look good with the stealth ppf film. Thoughts?
If I wanted to get those rocker panels in black like in the aero package, would you do a gloss finish to contrast the matte or stick to the matte theme?

A couple questions please:
Can you switch driving modes while driving? Comfort to S?
When do you open your exhausts outside of starting it up? Can you open while driving?
Thanks
