AC Sound On Initial Use
Has anyone heard anything like this? First time I turn on my ac for the day or 8 hours between turning off and turning it on again, I get this electronic humming sound coming from the front of the car which lasts for about a minute or so. AC works
well blowing cold air and the system has never been touched before. Brought it to the dealer twice and they just tell me they cannot replicate the problem.

I just recently got my belt done and a pulley as well so I know the sounds our car makes when it's okay and I definitely cannot hear that sound. Mine had an odd chirping noise on cold starts which ended up being the belt and pulley.
I know for a fact your car didn't have that sound before. Does this humming sound only happen when the AC is on? Because if it is, that means it's 99% the AC compressor.

I can hear the humming in the video. Almost like a little wiiiiiiiiiiiiii noise. I would say it could be the actual AC compressor, the fan or a pulley which needs looking at

Yes that's exactly the sound. The sound is a hit or miss actually. Today when I turned on my AC the sound wasn't there, however, after driving 8 mins to a gas station and getting gas, when I turned on my ac the sound was there but not as noticeable due to other cars and sounds. But always when I arrive at my destination, the sound is gone so it doesn't make the noise the entire time. Whats annoying is I had taken it to 2 dealers already and they just tell me they cannot replicate the problem and AC is working as designed.
Tell them to compare it with another Mercedes on their lot, too and if you can't get it resolved you have to escalate the matter because this sound was never there before and should not be present on a Mercedes.

Dealers are f*cked. Book them in again this week, tell them the sound is still there but now it's getting louder and one time it even screamed. Tell them it's urgent and you can't drive a car that randomly hums or screams.
Tell them to compare it with another Mercedes on their lot, too and if you can't get it resolved you have to escalate the matter because this sound was never there before and should not be present on a Mercedes.

Doesn't sound right at all............. compressor making that noise I would say and I have never heard that on our cars.......... get that fixed before warranty is up dude

Yea the sound definitely shouldn't be there. I'm glad y'all can hear it and its not just my ears lol. I just don't get how the dealer cannot replicate the issue, its so frustrating!

I never brought it back to the dealer man. I was talking to a Mercedes tech over Instagram and showed him my issue and at first I thought it was an overcharged AC since it was a humming/buzzing noise but he said our AC is very sensitive so if it was either an over or undercharged system, my AC light would blink. He also said it may not be extremely out of the ordinary. The 3 nearest dealers to me are all owned by 1 company so having me in their system I highly doubt they will tell me its an issue if its just a sound and does not affect usability at all. I have a question though, when you turn on your AC for the First time of the day when your cars either been parked directly under the sun or just in a really hot garage, how long after pressing the AC button do you hear your Compressor engage?
