wider track front and rear, wider hips, different rear suspension and different final drive ratio.... Better traction.

I have yet to see the blue up close & in person. The only time I have seen it was passing one on the highway for a split second. I’m sure I’ll be amazed once I finally get up close to it! I went with the sedan for multiple reasons,

cheaper maintenance, cheaper overall cost, cheaper insurance & you get more car. I would have loved to get a couple but can’t afford it & would rather get more car for less.

Guys the main difference between the coupe and the sedan is the 2 extra doors.

The coupe is damn tempting to get with everything mention in this thread, but the 2 doors and seats in the sedan you can share the car with family.

If i didn't have my little one i would buy the coupe for sure.

You only live once. But what you want. I hauled 2 young kids around in my 911.

When I owned an E92 M3, I still remember this confused look from new parents in a parking lot who had a large crossover for just 1 infant. They watched me pull 2 kids out of my car, 1 in rear facing and 1 front facing.

You'll love the color. I apologize for derailing the topic, didn't want to turn it into Coupe vs sedan debate. It was just a comment around what I went through.

Update lol so car still is not here yet, dealer is saying 29th of December.... about to be going into the 8th month of waiting since placing the order. The ship it is supposedly headed towards Germany and supposed to be in Brunswick, GA in 3 weeks. I already anticipate this probably dragging into mid to late jan or early feb. The wait continues, as of now I have been able to search info on the car online & get insurance quotes & check the build of the vehicle to confirm its what I ordered and its been completed.

Is the “Martorell” the ship yours is on ? Mine is on the “Precious Ace” it is almost at the Bremerhaven port in Germany.

the only other ship I know is called “paradise ace” and it just left Baltimore. It had the same route as the paradise ace starting in east London and going up to Europe.

I don’t think I’ll get mine until late Jan or feb. I’ve been waiting since April smh. I thought the ship would just come straight to the US didn’t think about the logical side of freight liners.

I dont have a new one on a ship, they are all in my garage :-) I was just saying, watching it online will drive you nuts ... lol

at the end of the day, its going to get here when the ship gets here... they have all sorts of logistics, and even with Covid, delays, etc etc etc.. just hang in, and you will have it soon enough.

ahh you lucky ******* lol, but yeah I’ve been tracking it and it’s great self inflicting stress Lmaoo.

i agree tho at this point she’ll come one of these days. I’ve accepted the lies from my dealer & also acknowledged the issues covid had caused. It just hurts when my dealer can’t be upfront & transparent but I guess that’s what we pay for haha

Your anxiety may increase once the ship is out of range, unless you pay for satellite tracking. The free version of these vessel tracking sites only offer tracking for vessel that are in range of the land based trackers, so that's only if they are near a shoreline. Once it leaves the European waters you won't get an update until it gets closer to the US coast.

Sorry if I missed it. Aren't the sedans built in Alabama?

Not anymore. Sedan production was moved to South Africa. They were already making sedans there for other markets. Alabama is now exclusively making the SUVs and Crossovers. GLC production will most likely move to Alabama sooner or later and join the GLE and GLS production there.

Appreciate the quick response. Most of the ones in Europe and England are in South Africa right?

I'm not entirely sure which European markets are served by South Africa. I thought that some sedans are also built in Bremen, Germany along with the coupes, verts and wagons, but maybe they moved the entire sedan production to South Africa now.

All C class sedans are made in SA, even the AMG. Coupes and Cabs are made in Germany. I personally am glad the C classes are not made in Alabama, the production quality is not as good compared to other countries. Thats why many of the early c class models had poor build quality & issues earlier on for the w205 model cycle. No offense to anyone in Alabama or America but the people here don't care and its kinda expected especially from this region and being in Alabama. I live in Atlanta, GA

I didn't realize you were in Atl. I am in Cumming. Which dealer did you purchase from?

There's a Facelift black C63s Coupe that I keep seeing in my area, I wonder if he's on this forum. We should do a meet and maybe mountain drive with few of the C63 owners.
