2021 C63S AMG (Sedan)

2021 C63S AMG (Sedan)
I got confirmation on my 2021 C63s build beginning production got a PO# yesterday(Saturday Sept. 5)! They said it should be here in November. I have been waiting since April because I initially tried to order the 2020 model before allocations ended due to the fear of the 2021 next generation and its 4-cylinder engine and interior getting changed. In July my dealer told me that they closed allocations and were rolling into the 2021s but because of the COVID mess they are pushing back the next generations release to later 2021 or 2022 so this first wave of 2021 models will be the same as the 2020 just made some features standard and but removed the rear sun shade & LED projector lamps that shine the logo on the ground. Engine will still be a V8 so there is still a chance to get the last of this kind before they are made into 4-cylinders. If anyone else has one on order or is looking to get one comment below! If you have any questions about my build, pricing or whatever I am happy to share! This is going to be my second Mercedes I previously had a 2013 C350 as my first car it was a great car with no issues but sadly got totaled back in September after 7 years & 92k miles the value of the car went from 60k to 9k regardless of how well I kept the car which was basically as if it came off the production line inside & out. Follow me on my IG @ cexy63s where I will be posting consistent and in-depth videos, pictures and other content.

Milap,
Congrats. The car is so good guess what I did !!!!
I have the 2020C63s and i placed an order a few weeks ago for a 2021 C63s. The only difference is I have more options on the new one, i don't think i left anything out. My production Date is November.
Also, I might be looking into a Renntech ECU upgrade. First time I will be modding so lets see how it goes.
Were there any new options for 2021? There is no Dealer Order Guide so we are just with what the system is saying.
Cheers,

Yeah I was looking forward to the rear shade to help with darkening the tint more, as far as the logo lamps I will just put some on myself for $20 and save being taxed $275 from Mercedes smh....

Thanks man, and I have yet to see the color up close and in person, I saw it once on a C63 on the highway for a brief moment so it will be a real surprise to finally see it up close. I previously had a white on black themed 2013 C350 so this blue will be a major change but hopefully easier to keep clean cause white was a never ending process. I will post pictures up here when I can but I will mostly be on my IG: cexy63s page when I get it.

I came across one of the AMG engine crafters on IG he liked one of my posts and I had dm'd him and he was pretty cool and responded! He said he was cranking out a lot of V8 engines mainly for c63's so that's pretty good news to hear that MB is trying to do its best in getting orders fulfilled.

I am looking into both.... the mirror lamps definitely look the best and are lit with the door closed but they are hard process to get installed having to dismantle the mirror housing basically. The door lamps is just a simple swap of the egress light but only shine when the door opens. Both are under $50 bucks. If I can find more videos on the install of lamps on the mirror housing and become comfortable with dismantling everything then I will go that route.

I lied to get the DT-AM style puddle light which is the like this here is about under $200. My only issue is that I don't know if the 2021 will even have a fixture under the side mirrors because they removed the option to add a LED projector lamp. I hope they still do and its just a light so I can still swap it out for the one below. Otherwise the easiest and next option would be to just install it within the door.

Yea you are correct it will have a light at least it, I was confused between that and the crest projectors (lights on the door). Now I just gotta do some homework on installing these because I have the 360 camera so I gotta dismantle the mirror housing in order to get inside and replace the stock puddle.

So today I called a different dealership to ask them to look into my PO# that I was given to by my dealership that I have the order with. My dealership told me on sept 5th when they gave me the PO# they told me the car was going to begin production this month and be delivered in November.. The dealership I called today and had look into my PO# they told me the car was slated to begin production late November. This is becoming frustrating as I have been waiting since April when I initially placed an order for the 2020 model. At this point 2021 models look like they will be delivered around feb/march.

I know it sucks, but if you want it now, then you have to buy whats on the lot.
These are custom cars, and they get pushed back or forth all the time.
:-)
Just trying to help you stay sane.

Sorry to hear. My build date is in November too, however as per my dealer all changes have been locked and they are beginning to make the cars early. So we are looking maybe, at a December turnaround!!
Cheers

You should NOT set your expectations based on what a dealership says, the only sure thing is to wait for notification its on the boat...

Nice man! Yeah I believe I should be allocated in this first wave of the 2021 model since I had my order in since April/July. But I was also told the same by @mercedesbenzusa on twitter that it would be mid/late December so.... fingers crossed!!!!

Congrats man! One thing I will say as an owner of a 2020 coupe that I waited 7 months for.... just be grateful that you’re getting the car, and let it come whenever it comes. My experience was less than enjoyable as far as waiting goes but I forgot about it the second I set my eyes on the car. I hope your experience is better but it seems to be the normal that delivery dates that salespeople say are always wrong. lol
ordered my car first week of June... picked it up December 5th

That blue is a beautiful color. Almost bought a sedan in this color off the lot. Glad I didn’t because I didn’t realize the differences between coupe and sedan was more than just number of doors. Unlike M3/M4 which are setup exactly the same way. Nevertheless it was a beautiful color in person.

can you elaborate on the differences between coupe and sedan? not trying to be a smartass that was a legitimate question lol
