MB loyalty discount

I am probably going to be ordering a 2021 C63s cab. shortly. We have seen leasing MB SUV's for over 12 years straight and presently have a 2019 GLE 400. What is the amount, if any owner loyalty should I be getting from MB? I am also trying to "hit one out of the park" by asking the dealership for a DE1 friends and family discount which in my understanding is 12.5% off MSRP. Thanks for any input!

Just my 2 cents I think what you , I or anyone else gets is very independent.
We also have to look at the month of purchase or when you actually lock your deal in.
However you are doing the right thing by thinking ahead and being educated.

For now I have been realistic , walking away with 10% is just fine for me.

Wing,

I responded to your direct message but just to kinda add it it. No one is guaranteed any discount or the amount of discount. Yes having brand loyalty and being a savvy buyer can increase your chances of a discount. DE1 discounts are not handed out like that and you really have to be able to either make a relationship with your sales rep and if you have been dealing with the same guy then that can be an opportunity for you to get that discount or you gotta come across someone who is willing to give you the discount to earn your business down the road and referrals. Again, I just got lucky and played the game. I have no friend or relative that works at Mercedes & I've only had one previously but a little white lie cant hurt anyone lol. My dealership did not just give me it that easy he tried to tell me that they don't offer discounts on custom orders or AMGs specifically but I knew that's a lie and you just have to be firm & persistent. They can either be open to doing business with you and gain a sale or they can reject it and lose out on the sale and you go to another dealership who will give you the time of day. If in the end the dealership you first went to won't work with you, try going to 2 others and make them work against each other to get your business chances are someone will do business with you! Hit the sales rep with a "this dealership said they could offer me this deal, can you offer me something similar or better"

Sorry to say, if the dealership knows you've been leasing MB for 12 years they know they can bend you over real nicely. I wouldn't bring up the leasing to the agent and try to work another angle. MB lease pricing is insane compared to most manufactures. If you want the best deal, find a spec close enough and buy off the lot. End of year is a good time to buy though, try to find a dealership that hasn't hit their year end corporate incentive goals, they will be much more willing to make a deal happen. Best of luck.

Negotiations are individually specific and if one believes that they have received a good deal then then they did. However, a sound negotiating strategy to consider is to negotiate up from dealer/manufacturer’s invoice price and not down from MSRP. The MSRP can be any amount and any %age discount is applied after to the potential high MSRP $ amount is set. General recommendations from luxury vehicle negotiations that I have seen, and used, are that the anticipated price over invoice on luxury vehicles is 8-12%. Anywhere below this range is good but it can also be impacted by the specific model & demand. (Eg. less suv coupes are available than regular suv models)There are numerous legitimate web sites that enable one to build their vehicle and obtain the dealer invoice pricing. In Canada, these sites will even link this pricing to a nearby dealer to enable effective minimal haggle negotiations. Good luck with your negotiations.

This is the link. https://carcostcanada.com/Home/Steps3

if one is seriously comparing/building any vehicle model it is worth the registration $$. The site provides many negotiating strategies across the spectrum of vehicle types. Good luck.
