C63S Edition 1 Brakes

Hello, everyone. I just bought the car a few months ago, I have been driving it pretty hard, also Track day is coming up very soon. So I need to change my Rear Pads really soon.
Can anyone tell me which pads you guys using for the rear set, I having a hard time finding out which pads will be exactly fit since ED 1 comes with CCB... The Dealer quoted me for almost 700 usd
Thanks in advance!

I believe the CCB option only gives CCB’s in the front. The rear brakes on all C63s’ are the same.

if you’re heading to the track, I recommend installing a set of track pads which can withstand higher temperatures you’ll experience while on track. Ppl have run Poterfield R4’s, Raybestos ST’s and Carbontech CP’s with success.

That’s how much I paid for rear pads too.

mischiefbenz is correct; the C63 CCB package comes with ceramic front rotors, but steel rears. The calipers are simply colored gold in the rear to match the fronts.

Ironically, the E63 and GT models came with ceramic rotors in all 4 corners. Based on my research & help from other forum members, swapping out the rears for the E63 ceramic rears is plug 'n play.

Do you have any parts number for it? Trying to see if there is any good aftermarket one. The stock one just making too much brake dust...

Yes, the rear one only comes with regular rotors. I'm wondering How those products performed compared to the stock ones.

Unfortunately a good track pad will be terrible on the street and a good street pad will be terrible on the track. This is due to the different optimum operating temperature window between track an street pads.

A track pad is designed to operate at a much higher temperature which you'll see on track. This is what gives them longevity while on track. Street use will never get a track pad up to the optimum operating temperature and as a result your stopping power will be greatly compromised. Conversely, a street pad isn't designed for the higher temperatures you'll see on track and will overheat when subject to track use. This is why they wear out so fast and fade when overheated.
