We all know how bad C63's launch control is, I'm fine with how C63 performs in a drag race, and honestly I'm amazed by the new M4's launch control.
But I just don't think C63S is going to be worse than RS5 in a rolling race, number wise and from other drag videos I've seen. Tires aside, there's gotta be something wrong with the C63S's setup.

I actually learned in the meantime that all three cars in this video apparently are on winter tires, which makes it even more questionable, because last time I checked there is only like one Pirelli winter tire that's made in the correct sizes for the C63S coupe.

Also surprised at how large the margin was. Would be interesting to see a race with more optimal conditions and proper tires on the C63
Speaking for myself, I don't care who won or lost a contrived race. All the cars are quick, but not drop dead fast. I bought the C63S for the sound, big turbo V8, interior, and did I say sound.
I've owned a number of Audi's and they are great cars, but I found them to be numb in terms of driving experience. I never had any issues with them, but they didn't get me excited when I drove them. I also had an e46 M3 and it was great. I felt the then current M3/M4 were boring on the interior and I wanted a change. I'm happy with my decision. The C63S has been a blast to drive and I've had zero issues with it.
All these cars improve over time, so when the new C63S coupe, or what it might be called lands, it will no doubt perform as well, or nearly as well as the Bimmer. If it spanks the M3, what are you going to say?
Top end EV's will beat all of these cars in a rolling start, but who cares. I'm fine with battery assist to an ICE engine to get instant power, but still prefer that over full EV's. Long live ICE powered cars.

some races between the RS5 vs C63s:
I didn't buy C63s to street/drag race. It is simply my daily car that let me hear the beautiful V8 roar every time I drive.
I actually also have F82 M4 Competition in the garage which I drive about once a week.
While I like M4 more handling-wise (C63s steering feel is too light for my liking), it is simply no match when it comes to engine sound between S55 and AMG V8.
From couple of videos I watched, S58 engine does not sound much different than S55 engine.
I will keep enjoying last V8 until I eventually move on to electric cars.

(in this one, Merc loses drag ut destroys the Rs5 in a roll).
Known to spin tires, but also known to crush RS5s for breakfast
I had both cars. From 01/2015 until 10/2018 the M4 with original 431hp. From 03/2019 until 10/2020 the C63S with original 510hp.
In my opinion the M4 is clear the better car. The M4 is a real race car. Its very fast on a track and not so heavy like the C63.
The C63 lives only from the V8 Motor with this increadable sound. That was also the reason for me why i bought it. I want drive a V8 before they are gone.
I never loved the C63. I dont like the design as much as from the M4 but the interior from the 2019 C63 was more modern that the M4.
I put on both cars the JB4. In the M4 with Downpipes and in the C63 without downpipes because to complicated with removing gearbox etc.
With this tune the M4 was the faster car. I drove 100-200kmh in 7.5s with the M4 and 7.9s with the C63. The C63 has a slight better traction. Maybe because of more weight on the rear.
But both cars have problems to get the power on the road. For that the new M4 with all wheel drive and possibility to switch on rear drive for drifting will be great.
The consumption was a big big difference. I would say the C63 need 3-4L more at 100km.
After 3 Month owning the C63 i tougth damn why i didn't take a M4 competition after my M4 (it was an option to the C63) because when i bought 2015 my M4 there was no comp available.
If someone asks me i say if you like the sound of the M4 take the M4. If you wannt drive a V8 with an amazing V8 sound take the C63.
I thought the C63 will die when the Motor will switch to 4 or 6 cylinders because of everyone will take the M4. (In my opinion the F8X M4 is one of the beautifull car ever)
But now I dont think so because BMW make the new M4 not so beutifull design.
Both cars are great and its like a question about the taste.
The Brake if the C63S is the best brake i ever drove. Maybee because its a little bit bigger than the one of the M4. Both brakes where no ceramic brakes.
