Right, run-flats and all-season tires unless fitted after the fact is not a thing on the V8 AMGs, but different tires do have different ride comfort. I did find the MO PSS overly harsh compared to the standard PSS I had on previous cars, and ride comfort even on the FL with the revised suspension is noticeably better with the PS4S. In general, though the PFL rides harsher, especially the sedan. The coupe was tuned better in Comfort mode to be more of a GT. Not sure if the difference is still there with the FL. I extensively drove a PFL sedan when I started shopping. Rented one on Turo and took it on one of my canyon runs. Did not like it. Way too harsh and as a result it was a rattle box, partly I guess being a rental, but it wasn't very confidence inspiring. One of the best things about the FL is the revised suspension. The newer generation dampers have a wider range, so Comfort mode is comfortable w/o being floaty. Still feel the road, but at least with the PS4S it doesn't crash over every bump, and in S+ it corners flat while still being very compliant. I would say the first thing is to make sure you are using the correct tire pressures. These cars do get rough if you run the wrong tire pressure. Check the fuel door sticker and run the normal load pressures. If you do have a lot of potholes around where you live the normal load pressure may make your wheels more susceptible to damage. If that's still too harsh, then perhaps give the PS4S a try.
