Wheels question: 20x10 or 20x9.5 in front on coupe?

I’m getting some new wheels. I wanted to run 20x10 in front and 20x11 in rear. I was going to go 265/30 in front and 295/30 in rear.

I know there are lots of people on here running those tire specs, but wasn’t sure on wheel size. I had a couple shops; including the wheel maker say 20x10 would be fine in front. But I also had a couple places say I should only do 20x9.5 in front. I’m slightly lowered on h&m springs. 2019 c63s coupe. No spacers. Anybody have experience that can give me advice? Pics just because. Thanks

I went back and forth on 10's vs 9.5's on the front and was pretty set on 9.5 which is what I ended up going with. The manufacturer wanted me to go 10 but I didn't want to add to much weight up front. I went 265/30 and the rear is a 20x11 with 295/30's. I think it looks perfect less stretch on the tires and it looks the same front to back.

In that case you'll be good either way. They know what they're doing for our cars. Didn't specify offsets just referenced the two coupes they have in their gallery and they said they've got it.

In your case if you keep 265/30 for either 9.5 or 10 it will fit the same...a 10" rim is 254mm aka still slightly less than the 265mm tire width. So, comes down to looks.

Nice choice ;-)

Just keep in mind that these are nominal tire and wheel dimensions and each tire manufacturer is a little different based on their design. I have 9.5 and 265 as well and the PSS tire sure does not "look wider" than the rim. So, a 10" rim would make it look a bit more "stretched" (even though by no definition it is a stretch) on these PSS tires.

Btw, I like the PS4S but the PSS tires have a thicker rim protector, which I like. Since these pictures my car is now quite a bit lower than shown too.

OP, if you're going to do 10's in the front I'd actually go 275 rather than 265. Like tobeit mentioned the 265 is going to stretch more on that 10" rim.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. Now I'm tempted to go 9.5.

Here are some pics BC sent me of a 20x9.5 w/ 265/30R20

Thanks. BC gave me that option as well. Here is a link they sent me for a 20x10 on a 275. Looks good too. I think this belongs to Sanch.

Well, decision time. Both obviously will work. 275 on 10 looks just a tiny bit to poke to me that looks like might be trouble when hitting a pothole.

yeah. I’m really leaning 9.5 now with 265. Wasn’t really feeling the 275 but I appreciated that BC had lots of photo options with the C63.

Now just need to decide on face color. I love the gunmetal look but I’ve got magno graphite so think that might be a bit too matchy for my taste. I’m thinking gloss black with polished lip and clear brushed inner. I could go matte but with all the break dust these cars produce the gloss might be a better choice. Wish they had like a satin between matte and gloss. I also like just the brushed stainless face but think that might be too bold a choice for my liking.

if you want to go really bold look at the bronze or nickel type colors for center. Other than that the brushed center on polished look would look really classy too.
I did the gloss gunmetal as I think gloss black on polished is a bit too generic, too much contrast and a bit old school. Lots of fake 2 piece wheels have that gloss black on polished look too.

my first instinct was brushed center with polished lip as I feel like black is played out, but my wife was really anti and was pushing for black. But the more I think about it, why not go with brushed center polished lip and just keep the current wheels and switch between them whenever I feel like a change? I guess I already own a black wheel, not like I need to sell them. Now I’ve got more to think on.

haha, decision…but you know the saying, happy wife …but agree that black and polished is a it worn out.

I wanted something a little different as well and went back and forth for weeks on a color. black, gunmetal, gloss gunmetal, Hell I strongly considered rose gold! In the end I went with brushed dark black. they turned out to be a little more grey then I'd thought they'd be but I love BC's brushed finishes.
