One other side effect if moving to EV....there is so much less aftermarket support and possible upgrades. You are left to maybe wheels, a few spoilers, skirts and diffusers....and that's about it. Even suspension changes will be hard to come by as they all integrated into the smart controls and probably nobody wants to mess with that. So, car enthusiast will be left out...its already more difficult today vs many years ago and will just become less and less possible for the average car enthusiast. So, eventually we all drive in the same, super fast, super quiet cars...personality lost.
Eventually we will all be driving 1000hp EV's with matching performance. Of course until enough people get killed and then the government will intervene and tune everything back.

Very sad news. Knew the end was near but didn't expect it to be so soon. Have been banking on the fact that even if the C63's no longer have the V8, I could move into an E63 next to have the V8 before they're completely gone. Not many cars lately that get me excited anymore, sad times.

It is unfortunate that you felt that way at the end of the deal though. Always give them feedback about your thoughts because a lot of dealers get ripped for bad customer service.
At least you got an AMG though huh?
No excuse for dealers not to give good service. I actually placed the order for my C63S entirely by phone and text with my sales rep and never stepped foot in the dealer until the day came to pick it up. I wasn't even local! Big shoutout to Sewell Mercedes in Houston, my best car buying experience to date. Anyways, tons of dealers out there. If one of them doesn't play nice, take your business elsewhere

AGREE 100%. First dealer I worked with, slightly further from home (but larger selection of cars) was lazy and wouldn't find me what I wanted, he kept trying to sell me a CPO with 45K miles he wanted to get rid of. I found the car I wanted on MB website, at a dealer 2 states away and emailed my closer/local MB dealer in Annapolis and asked if they could get it. Annapolis called me that day, we talked and he said he needed one day to contact the dealer that had the car I wanted. Next day, he called and said can do, I gave them a depo via credit card and did all my financing via internet with USAA. They took my VIN for my pickup over the phone and offered me 22.5 (sight unseen) for my 7 year old ECO Diesel with 103K miles.1 week later, I walked into the dealership and handed them the keys to my truck, they looked at it, re-affirmed the trade in offer and I drove out with my new car in less than 45 min. Wayne at Annapolis MB is a straight up guy and no BS, just the way it should be.

Most of them brushed me off and for the most part told me their build slots were already full. I found a local dealer that was willing to take my order, but after a few back and forth emails they stopped responding. I then lucked out and found a 2021 a few states away that's ~90% match for my build. But unlike the dealer you bought yours from, this one has been extremely nice and helpful so far. The gm reached out to me after I put down a deposit and they're even giving me almost 2% off MSRP while some dealers were marking up anywhere from $3-5k. At the same time, I ran into some dealers that flat out refused to sell inventory cars to out of state buyers.

My car just reached port over the weekend, so hopefully I should have it within the next 2-3 weeks.
It was a 2021 but with all the trouble and the uncertainty that covid was adding to supply chains I decided buying the one I found was a better decision to ensure I got the last generation V8 C63. I wasn't too picky about cost because a few thousand dollars over the course of the lifetime of this car isn't a big deal so I didn't try to negotiate much with the dealer.

I flew in to pick up the car and drive it home and despite confirming the delivery date multiple times they acted like they were surprised to see me. Had to get some paperwork notarized because it was an out of state sale so I sat there for an hour while the SA called all around town trying to find a notary. Ended up going to a Chevy dealership 20 minutes away for the notary and then when we got there the sales price on the paperwork was like $3,000 higher than agreed, so we had to go back and get it corrected and then go back to the Chevy dealer. There were other things post-sale that were worse that I won't go into, but they basically ghosted me for weeks and I had to tweet at the Mercedes accounts and leave negative online reviews for the dealer to even get a call back.

Not a really picky person when it comes to customer service but this was a bit crazy. When I took delivery of my S4 it was the complete opposite experience, the dealer was great. Glad yours seems to be a lot better than mine was.

Damn 45 minutes sounds like a dream. I was at the dealer for like 5 hours to pick up my C63s after telling them to please have everything ready to go because after I picked it up I had an 18 hour drive home ahead of me.

That sucks they treated you so crappy. It sounds like they were hoping you wouldn’t catch the $3k overcharge and once you did, their level of service further deteriorated. Yeah, my dealer has been nothing short of amazing so far so I definitely lucked out both in terms of finding the car I wanted and their attention to customer support.

We have two 2022 C63CS coupes coming late fall, early winter still.. V8's still.. just the sedans are done.. (we have one 21 C63S sedan now, grey).. coupes and cabs will have a small run for 2022.. unsure if we will get a 2023 coupe/cab in the US.. or if there is really a "CLE" coming...

Will miss the V8 rumbles and non electrified sounds lol..
