Yes, it appears to be the case. There's a thread in the W213 section. Folks are getting their E63 and GT63 orders cancelled. Supposedly due to not meeting the average fleet fuel efficiency and I guess it's cheaper to stop the production of all V8 models than getting fined billions in Euros. The writing was on the wall. From what I'm hearing all V8 orders have been cancelled.

The MB Extended Warranty is transferable to any new owner and is 100% refundable while your vehicle is still under the Original Warranty.
I will need to call the MB Dealership to get more details on price.
It would seem less hassle purchasing the Extended Warranty through MB than dealing with or waiting for or not reading the fine print of a 3rd Party Company authorization. Simply bring your car into MB Dealership and have then repair it.
But will look into this

Really hoping they don't delay/cancel the MY22 C63 Coupes. Ended up ordering one last week instead of buying an MY21 to get the perfect spec I wanted. Has anyone heard any news about the C63 V8 for 2022?

haven’t heard anything. My SA haven’t got a clue. I’m really hoping that this is not true. I don’t mind a delay but to cancel all my22 is going to push customer away to bmw and audi. Honestly I’m pretty disappointed as of now as I’m trying to get as many v8 amg as I can before they’re gone forever. Finger crossed

I haven't seen anything specifically about the C63's but it may be just a matter of time. From Shahul on the W213 thread:
following MY22 model variants are delayed until further notice.
MY22 E63 S Sedan (213.089)
MY22 E63 S Wagon (213.289)
MY22 GT 63 4-Door Coupe (290.688)

Wow OP, you're getting ready to drop 325K+ and they don't want your money?? MB is insane!

Wasn't trying to spend nearly that much but when I was trying to order a C63s it felt like MB didn't want my money. Was working with a handful of different dealers and never got the same answer out of any of them during the order process. It was a huge pain in the ***. Eventually just said screw it and found one at a dealer across the country that matched my build like 95%. Even that dealer was a nightmare to deal with and after dropping almost $100k I felt like I would have gotten better customer service at the Hyundai dealer down the street.

Pretty sure they "legally" could not fill the orders if they are not making the required performance numbers for all of the EPA import rules and such. Sucks but really makes me glad I bought the 21 when I did.

One other side effect if moving to EV....there is so much less aftermarket support and possible upgrades. You are left to maybe wheels, a few spoilers, skirts and diffusers....and that's about it. Even suspension changes will be hard to come by as they all integrated into the smart controls and probably nobody wants to mess with that. So, car enthusiast will be left out...its already more difficult today vs many years ago and will just become less and less possible for the average car enthusiast. So, eventually we all drive in the same, super fast, super quiet cars...personality lost.

I just heard back from my MB sales rep. They haven't heard anything about the C63's being cancelled. As far as they know, only the MY2022 builds mentioned above are on the chopping block. So it's possible the V8 C63 just might get to live for another year?
Edit: Shahul on the W213 thread just confirmed that the 2022 C63 coupes will be built, they have 2 arriving later this year.

My car just reached port over the weekend, so hopefully I should have it within the next 2-3 weeks.

Kinda strange that they would stop the lower volume models, but somewhat explains why they haven't unveiled the GT63 facelift yet, and the GT53 can be ordered with a V8 appearance package to make it look like the GT63. For the fleet average, they sell more C63 than some of these other AMG models combined, but it looks like the 2022 C63S coupe and cab is a rather small production run, and no more C63 non-S which was more popular in Europe.
I also heard about the MY22 production run being small from a dealer a few weeks ago.

Yeah I was pretty worried about them stopping the C63s since they are pretty high volume compared to the MY22 E63/GT63's that got canceled. Not completely sure, but maybe emissions on those two are worse than the C63?

They are marginally higher. C63S is 248 g/km of CO2 and the E63S is 267 g/km for example. So yes a bit higher. Considering that the required fleet average is 95 g/km they are all way off and bring up the average, but any reduction in models and volume helps I suppose.

Yeah, the only real way to get the fleet average down is to aggressively sell volume BEVs to the average customer, which count for zero CO2 emissions, but MB has been asleep behind the wheel and are waking up now. If they had come out with BEVs several years ago we could still enjoy these AMGs in the small numbers they are sold overall and Daimler wouldn't be facing billions in fines. It's not like they didn't know this was coming.
