Well it’s official, I grabbed a 2023 C63S in graphite (not a final edition) with every option I would have spec’d. Initially was waiting for a CLA 45S this fall, but I grew inpatient and figured for a bit more I might as well get this classic.
Also, the dealer added me to the car…and I got a collision warning? I checked the location and it finally arrived to my town via transporter. I’m seeing posts in other model threads (GLE/S class) report these as false. Hoping that is the case lol

Well, with roughly 400 dealerships in the USA, only 25% of them will get one. There are 35 dealerships in Texas, so about 6-9 are probably gonna go to Texas. Pretty much means none of them have sold yet.
UK cars were all built with chrome trim and no carbon fibre options available. MBUK eventually offered to replace the offending bits with the black pack parts. But there's a **** ton of silver on the car anyway with the wheels, badges, front A bar, door handles, exhaust tips etc so I got happy with mine and didn't take up their offer.
I just got the Zunsport grilles to cover my incoming Modalworks upgrades and will probably get them sprayed silver and lacquered just to go ***** out.
How those stickers look in person? Not sure if I like them 😬
Good thing here in Europe not paying more than 5k all in premium 😎
I really hope MBUSA could come to their senses and lower the price (although I doubt that will happen since it is technically considered as limited production model), they really think people will pay that much for stickers and a car cover...
The Edition 55s are rotting on dealer lots as well. Basically the same thing as the FE - 55 each of certain AMG models (GLE 63, etc..,) with basically stickers and badges and less options to boot as well. C'mon do we really need a 55 Edition to celebrate 55 years of AMG? Cash grab for MB. Looks like most are too smart not to buy this overly inflated and marketed garbage.

Congrats! And good call going with a non-FE, especially since it’s spec’d with every option you would have ordered on your own build. It’s also a superior car to to the CLA, and the final year of the V8 in the C class.
Is it red pepper interior with both carbon packages and performance seats? I saw a graphite one like that online, but dealer wanted a $5k ADM so I found an identical one less the Driver Assistance package on the other side of the country without any ADM which is the one I’ll likely go with.
Don’t worry about the collision warnings, that’s perfectly normal when the car is being transported on a carrier. If I had a dollar for every collision warning I got when my ‘21 was being transported it would’ve paid for the shipping lol 😂

I counted over 30 FE’s for sale live on AT around the country. There’s no telling how many dealers have already taken delivery or have posted theirs for sale online. Often a car is still listed for sale online even though it’s a customer build or already sold. So there’s no way to really know for sure how many of the 6 in TX are still up for grabs without calling each dealer. With that said, there doesn’t seem to be as much interest in these FE’s as MB probably anticipated. You would think all 100 of them would’ve been snapped up immediately upon release. But they really dropped the ball on the build sheet and most customers in the market for a new C63s realize they can get a lot more car for thousands less than the $133k FE with its $36.4k surcharge if they just look hard enough.

It is one with both carbon packages and pepper interior, but just the regular seats. So almost! This one came from Illinois. I had my local dealer grab it for me. No ADM, plus I did get $500 off LOL. 2 other buyers were trying to grab this one; supposedly one local guy who cried when they moved the car on a trailer haha. Now all I need is my PPF guy to wrap the whole car. First magno paint Ive owned

Mine is going to be the same color with the sport seats, apart from that it looks like it's spec'd almost exactly the same (less the DA2 package which I have no use for anyway). And great job getting $500 off, that's almost unheard of in today's AMG new car market.

I showed my local dealer the listing and they contacted the dealership with the car. As long as it's a new car, Mercedes dealers can trade or outright buy each other's vehicles - but this depends on if the dealer wants to play ball. Quite a few do, especially if they are closer or not located in California lol. Apparently Cali dealers rarely trade or outright sell cars to diff dealers. Might be a regional thing though as transport 2000+ miles away may be the reason lol. The one stipulation is that you may or may not have to foot the transport bill between dealerships.

Just came back months later to see what happened, and wouldn't you know it. I had asked here months ago if anyone had noticed if the C205 Coupe/Cabrio 63 models were back on the order list, wish I could find that thread now to reply to those who said it wasn't possible. The order banks for these hold over body style coupes were opened months ago. Mercedes has held over coupe and wagon body styles before until a new model arrives, even after the sedan they're based on is all new. SMH
I'm from LA, I found the exact spec i want in Sacramento, CA.
My local dealer which I'm some kind of VIP there tried for days to get me that listing with no success.
I decided to try and get it on my own, called them, and there was deal being worked on it... They came back to me later that day telling me that that deal is off
and if i want it i can have it... the guy there told me without doing the connection ofcourse that at least 7 SoCal dealers were trying to get that specific car which
also didn't help me with the ADM lol. buying this car less then msrp? damn you guys are lucky. not in ca anyways lol.
well i paid 10k over, but got it exactly as i wanted so I'm kinda happy. I mean if i could i would prolly add the carbon exterior package and the ceramic brakes but hey, it is what it is.

Well you were correct about the V8 living on, actually getting to order one is a totally different ballgame. In most cases, it hasn’t been a straightforward process of walking into a dealership and ordering a new 2023 C63S just because MB supposedly opened up the order banks.
After months of searching for a new 2023 build allocation, I can tell you there were a very limited amount of allocations handed out. Many dealers didn’t even get one despite being promised one. My dealer is one of the biggest in Texas. They were very confident they’d be able to get me my own build, but after half a year wait, all they could offer me was their single FE allocation. It also seems that most dealers who did actually get an allocation or two for non-FE’s , used them as dealer builds rather than customer builds.
As recently as a couple of weeks ago someone here posted that they were able to place an order for a new C63s coupe. However, it remains to be seen if that build will actually get accepted and be assigned a PO# this late in the game. There are still several 2023’s up for grabs, albeit mostly with ADM’s. So if someone is still wanting to buy one, the best bet would be to grab one of these final remaining dealer builds before new C63S V8’s are gone forever.
If I don't get my order accepted then I'll most likely have to get an FE. Of course I'm hoping to pay close to MSRP because these are not moving right now. It will be bad enough paying the 36K FE tax. Spec is meh on the FE but not too bad. I hate the chrome around the windows and will order factory black pieces and have them installed. Wheels and black calipers I'll probably be able to live with as well as no carbon packages.

Awesome pics! I have a good idea now of how mine will look with the graphite and red pepper. I had no idea MB dealers trade or buy cars from each other. Mine will be coming from a dealer 1500 miles away so I'm pretty sure if my local dealer were to even agree to bring it in, I'd have to pay the shipping. Are you planning on getting wrapped with PPF?

Congrats! Gorgeous looking beast. In the grand scheme of things, $10k is not too bad of an ADM considering how much some dealers were asking on remaining '21's back when MB announced suspension of most V8's. I found a 2023 which is decently spec'd but the dealer is asking $25k ADM.

I really do hope your order goes through and they can start building it. But if it doesn't, is there a reason you'd have to get an FE over a heavily optioned non-FE? There's still several nice non-FE's up for grabs, some with ADM's as low as $5-10k which would put you way ahead of the FE's $36.4k surcharge.
