MY23 C63 S Final Edition
C63 S Final Edition
From my AMG insider, this is coming, probably about 12 months away. The W206 will not have Coupe or Cab variants so the W205 2 door will run alongside it with the Final Edition C63 S runout coming Summer 2022 when the regular cars are almost gone. Expect a fully loaded car with the all the carbon trimmings and ceramic brakes. Probs a total of 499 cars, just put my name down for one.
For those who want the next gen, we can expect a CLE/CLK coupe as a replacement for the C & E class 2 doors (not sure what badge it will have) bit will probs span the engine spectrum from 4 to 8 pot, all with hybrid.

Sounds less special than even an Edition 1 which at least gave you exclusive painted rims and exclusive magno paint (Night Black on E63's etc, Selenite on PFL C)
It's a shame because it's such a missed opportunity for the last V8 C63 (and increasingly sounds like the last of all non-hybrid AMG V8's given what's going on lately with MY22 orders across the lineup). I think we all expected at least a special R variant if not a full blown Black Series. I had already decided if they were going to give the C the Black treatment, I'd pick one up. I wish AMG really gave this car a proper sendoff. No wonder Tobias Moers left this company...
If you don't own this car already then sure go for one of these but for any current owner it doesn't make any sense

Me too but its not happening, not even a R. Got my allocation for the Final yesterday and who knows what it will have? Its 12 months away and will follow on from the last C205's which end next Summer. Will probably add some Brabus bits and their power kit to mine and keep it for the duration.

Will be introduced in July 2022 as a MY23 model so should be safe, at least in Europe.
The new SL will also be inbound next year with multiple V8 variants.

I’m just not seeing them ever bringing back the V8. This is likely a transition to ev / hybrids. I think it’s safe to say that 2021 was the final year for the V8 save those 2 models that were spared. And especially for the C63 which was already confirmed to be a hybrid for MY2023. I doubt they also run a V8 variant alongside the 4cyl hybrid.

The V8 will continue to show up in all the higher end AMG's for a while, there's absolutely no need to retire it yet when Audi and BMW are cranking them out. This is just down to MB's supply issues and perhaps some incompetence in managing their numbers in the US. V8 models still available to order in the UK and Germany.

****Wow! That's a real beauty! I'm not the biggest fan of the magno (dull) type paint as it is so hard to fix scratches or other typical wear and tear damage to the paint - but I like the graphics,wheels, and the rear splitter.
Wonder what the price would be here in the USA for one of those..

I doubt this is actually going to get produced. It was announced last summer and from what I gather, the plan was scratched after the V8’s got discontinued. Gorgeous car though.
