Pre FL vs FL tail lights

Hi,

Are tail lights really that different? I can’t tell the difference in pictures…supposed to be darker?

thanks!

On coupe all that's changed is the chrome strip inside the light is gone and instead of grey plastic housing the facelift uses black plastic which gives the appearance of looking a bit darker from outside.

Now I must be honest. The prefacelift coupe lights are brighter at night and more pink. It looks way better illuminated at night.

The facelift lights look way better during the day without illumination and they have an almost cherry red appearance, but at night the lights are a bit dimmer and not pink/bright unlike the prefacelift.

For example, left is facelift and right is prefacelift coupe

Oh well and I was thinking for those who want the brighter taillights at night will be able to swap to the pfl and then back to the facelift lights when it is morning if it was plug and play, there goes that idea.

For coupe they're plug and play bro. The two trunk lid lights are very fiddly to remove man. I cracked one, whilst being ultra careful.
