Front Lip Replacement on my 20' C63s Coupe w Aero Pkg
So the time has come where I cracked the front lower lip on my bumper and need some help find a replacement part. I believe this part is called the center molding but would like your help in finding a part number/link to where I can purchase. I am not sure if it is a special part because I have the Aero pack and it's a 2020 facelift, so if anyone knows please advise!
I had it replaced by Mercedes earlier in the year but it cost something like 500+ w labor so wanted to find an alternative route to replacement.
I found a carbon fiber one on ebay for $360. If you want to pay for something in the USA, German muscle has carbon fiber front lips for just shy of 800. Mod carbon is insanely expensive at around 1200 for CF.
I cant speak to quality of any of it. I bought my car used and the previous owner cracked mine in a small spot and its scratched up. So im buying a new one. I cant stomach spending 800-1200 when I can find them for under 500. Installation is strait forward and something Ill do at home.
I don't think they ship to the USA, but Kunzmann has it. When I cracked mine, the dealer had the hardest time finding the right part as they never dealt with the aero kit up to that point, so I sent them the Kunzmann link and then they found it. I don't think there's a cheaper source anywhere for the OEM replacement. Only possible alternatives are replicas that might come on the market at some point, but I haven't seen anything, or going with something completely aftermarket like above. They ended up doing mine under goodwill, because I had to keep coming back to get my side sills fixed, so the body shop actually paid for the cracked front splitter as a compensation for my troubles.
THis is from German Muscle website. At least they seem to be legit OEM.
Installation RW Carbon highly recommends professional installation on this W205 Coupe front lip. This front lip installs the same was as the OEM one. Using self tapping screws on the bottom and 2 small screws on each winglet near the fender well.
