Question Ebay/Amazon Aftermarket Exterior parts question

Hi guys,
I wanna spice up my 2016 c63s and have been trying to find some good looking diffusers, front lips, spoilers and such and I see a bunch on ebay and amazon I just dont know how trustworthy it is , theyre decently priced usually 400-600 dollars for diffusers and such but has anyone else bought anything from these sites and had good or bad luck?
I'm curious . I just don't want to spend a bunch of money on stuff that wont fit correctly or bad quality.

What have you guys gotten ?
Thank you

*****I bought an updated face lift grill for my 2018 C63s from Ebay, and installed it myself. It fits perfectly and the quality seems really good. It was about 1/3rd the cost of what the dealership wanted for OEM. I was happy with my purchase.

I ordered a carbon fiber trunk spoiler and side skirt covers off of eBay and carbon fiber mirror caps off of Amazon. They were a fraction of the price of OEM options and look and fit just fine. I expect that most, if not all, of these parts that are not OEM pieces from Mercedes are made in the same factory in China or Taiwan. Why spend 5x as much elsewhere?

My experience has been hit and miss. I have purchased a couple of rear spoilers from ebay that the fit has been total garbage. They look ok but will not sit flat on the decks surface. I had one that I purchase that fit good and look great but 60 days later started to delaminate, there are some chines manufactures on ebay that have upped their game and are producing some nice quality stuff but those guys are not cheap either.

Also not all the vendors that are "not chines" are good. I picked up a rear spoiler from German Car Parts out of AZ supposed to be American made carbon... when it arrived the box said made in China and the fit was just OK... on the other hand RW Carbon has great quality stuff... fit and finish is top of the line not ebay cheap but not OEM expensive.

I guess the most I can do is further the investigation of which ones come out good or bad , When I do get anything ill start making a list of the trustworthy sellers off of these sites in case anyone else is wondering the same thing , maybe make it easier on them

Hit or miss.

I bought a front spoiler from China, did not fit worth a damn. Had to return it. Ended up buying the center piece of the front spoiler through the dealership.

I also bought a CF trunk spoiler, duck bill style. Currently getting painted black to match the rest of my trim. It looks like it should fit nicely. Ill update once its back and on the car.

Parts I’ve gotten on eBay/Amazon :

Carbon front spoiler/lip - 6/10 quality from China, tried to return it but the seller never asked for it back, still got a refund so I put it on my car.
Carbon side mirrors replacement covers (not caps) - 8/10 quality, hasn’t faded yet. Half the price of what these vendors sell them for.
Rear bumper vent - 10/10 quality, just what I needed. Great price.
Glass Distronic emblem - 10/10 quality, good price.
Blacked out emblems - 10/10 quality, didnt have a problem at all with them. Very cheap.

the CF diffuser and CF trunk spoiler I got from RWCarbon probably came from the same factory to be honest. Cost a pretty penny. Alibaba and AliExpress had the same items for a fraction of the price. Just saying.

@rmarchigiani is this for the coupe? how did you get just the center piece at the dealer?
They seem to only have it listed as all 3 pieces.... I only need the center.

Yes 2019 coupe.

When I started removing the factory front spoiler for the first time, I realized it was 3 pieces. So I called the dealer and asked them and they had it in 3 separate pieces. So I ordered only the middle section.

Part number

A 205 885 74 01 64

It was $400 just for the center piece, but worked out nicely.

A quick search in Google says the part is only for 2019 onwards, not to mention most places showing it as discontinued. Mines a 2017, and I'm having trouble getting the part anymore. Could you share a pic please to see if it's the same?

@untamedd Im interested, if we are infact talking about the same pieces. Yes it comes in 3 pieces, the front splitter that sits below the bumper. Let me know what you're looking to get, thanks.

hey nvm its a different part as these pieces are the ones that make up the bumper trim and not the splitter that goes underneath.

Thanks... Id be hard pressed to think this is any different to the 2017 part... Looks identical, so im curious why it's listed as 2019+....Ill go ahead and try to order this part. Thanks.

I believe it's because prior to the facelift in 2019 it was only available on the Edition 1 coupe. With the facelift it became available with the aero package on coupes.

I would have to agree with both of you. I think it would fit.

Even aftermarket dealers like German Muscle advertises front lips for 2017-2021 or 2015-2021. Link below.
