C63 S Stiff Suspension

First time posting..

I bought a used 2015 C63 S with very low miles and very well maintained. The issue is that I live in NYC and there are so many potholes that the road is practically see through.
The suspension feels incredibly stiff and the ride is very uncomfortable..

A couple dealerships said "that's how the car is"

Is there's anything I can do to fix the issue'?

Thanks in advance for your help

Change the springs either KW HAS which give a better ride or convert to the Facelift springs which are 10% softer in the front and 20% softer in the rear. Also note that facelift's rear anti-roll bar is also softened compared prefacelift which is why the facelift is a bit more easier as a daily and not as hardcore.

Also make sure those tires are inflated a bit higher if you're dealing with potholes or you'll bend the wheels in no time.

2021 Glb35 AMG (2013 GLK 350)
I have similar problem with my GLB35 AMG in NYC roads... I had a GLK 350 with similar hp and had no problems with 19" wheels and regular suspension. When I got the GLB AMG, the suspension is stiff and also came with 21" Conti summer tires, since there was not many choices with the pandemic short supply... When I switched to 20" Michelin winter tires, it helped a lot with softer carcass of winter tires and a smaller wheels. Last spring I switched my summer tires to 21" Michelin UHP all season tires that are better, but still it is on the border line for 21' with bumpy roads. So you can achieve softer ride with the right tire & wheel combination...

I have the same year and similar problem. Suspension set on "softest" setting but the ride is bone jarring to say the least. I also have the AMG Performance Seats which do not have much cushion so my wife refuses to ride in it.

*****In my experience, girlfriends are more amenable to riding in the car with sport seats versus the wife. Also, women with additional junk in the trunk seem less likely to complain about the AMG seats for some reason... Hmm...

I dunno, the girlfriend and the wife never stop shouting long enough to talk about the ride. They are too busy looking for loose strands of hair and trying to sniff each other's lingering perfume in the car.

Do you know which one would be softer? The post Facelift or the KW HAS?

You ARE kidding. Right? A C63S, an "S"... and you are bothered by a stiff ride. Sell the car! Get a Honda CRV.

Move somewhere with better roads or get a car more suitable to NYC roads. It's true, the FL rides better, and the PFL coupe rides better than the PFL sedan partly because of the unique rear axle and AMG tuning it more like a GT, but at some point the roads are just not suitable for a firmly sprung sports car/GT with low profile tires. The C63 is really not a city car. I love my FL coupe with Performance Seats and my skinny Asian wife does not complain (she even naps at times), but the roads around here overall are fairly good. Many have been repaved in recent years along with the highways, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't enjoy driving it in NYC very much.

The things you can easily control are the tires and tire pressure. Given the car has low mileage, how old are the tires on it? Anything approaching 6 years is due to be replaced. The compound gets hard and stiff as the tire ages. I've replaced the stock Pilot Super Sport with the PS4S, which is a much better tire. It rides and handles better than the PSS. As for tire pressure, many people have it set too high. The pressure on the door sticker is the max load pressure intended for a fully loaded car driven at top speed. The normal load pressure is listed inside of the fuel door and gives the car a significantly better ride quality. However, on bad roads less pressure makes it more likely to punch through the rubber and damage a wheel. Frankly, this is simply not a car you wanna drive through potholes.

Appreciate all your help. I def didn't anticipate such a rough ride. The roads are just TERRIBLE in NYC. I would sell it if I can get around 58k for it but it's a couple grand above market and so far no bites. Whoever buys it will get 2 prepaid MB services worth 2k
If anyone is interested please reply. LOL

*****What's amazing to me is how much folks in NY pay in all manner of taxes and your roads in certain areas really really suck and are full of pot holes, bumps, and various other damage. At least in my area by Washington, DC we pay an *** ton in taxes but the roads are generally very well maintained outside of Washington, DC itself. They resurface roads here on a very regular basis and I love driving my C63s here in this area. Really happy with the car after all of the mods, etc..

A few psi here and there wont help much, honestly. It's just not the right car for new york city, man. These cars ride rough and make no sense on crowded pothole-filled city streets.

*****Yea. Bethesda has a LOT of construction going on now.. I live in Potomac and the roads are awesome here. Really well maintained and very regularly resurfaced. We pay *stupid* amounts in property taxes here but our schools are good for the kiddies, and it is overall a very safe and low crime area to live in. I've driven in to D.C. and there are *tons* of potholes and bad roads in certain parts. Glad I don't live there.
