Ordered Akrapovic Exhaust for 2019 C63S
In the mean time, just making this thread to update later on the install and result/review process once everything arrives.
Reading the manual, it looks like the system will plug directly in to the valve actuators while reading/intercepting something in the CANbus with a sniffer to not throw a code? Currently using the ASR module to open the flaps fully, so after the exhaust install, don't think there'd be any use for the ASR module anymore since the system from Akrapovic should be controlling it 100%.

In Australia I can't find an Akrapovic exhaust under $13,000 for my C63s Coupe which truly sucks.

Yes, on price its very close to what I paid - but options here are limited and its one of the few options that will pass inspection

can i ask......... what made you make that decision and purchase the (awesome) exhaust from akrapovic instead of say, choosing to do another modification for the same amount of money eg turbos + downpipes and/or intakes etc.?
Guess I really just want to know what made the akrpovic exhaust a winner over other typical mods?

I'm based in Singapore, so vehicle mods are heavily restricted. There's a saying here:
Mod don't scared
Scared don't mod
There are very few options which are "legal" and meet all the environmental requirements put forth by our govt, and akrapovic is one of those few. The daimler authorised Mercedes workshop here, of which there is only 1, tends to close one eye if its just the exhaust. But if you go beyond by doing turbos, headers, etc, then you run the risk of warranty issues. Armytrix for example would fail inspection.
And since we have to get our cars inspected every 2 years, makes less sense to go the route where I'd have to continually change back to stock to meet the inspection. Plus, the fines for illegal vehicle modification is a few thousand dollars.
Just a heads up, the akra control unit did not work for my car (non PE). There was some issue with the cars system where if the h pipe valve was touched (wiring) the car threw a CEL and the valve didn't work at all. The mechanics were asking around for hours how to fix the problem and found that a few other FL models had the same issue where valves couldn't be controlled via aftermarket system after the latest mb software update at the time but were fine before the software update. Just my experience and hope it works for you.
So my h pipe valve is controlled by the car but the rear valves are controlled via a small remus control box and remote.

I have an asr module that's currently controlling the rear valves, same as what the renntech one does as well. So I guess that would be a similar solution?

The renntech asr should work. Your just changing the actual exhaust and not the control unit.

Sorry, want to correct what I said before, the car didn't throw a CEL but an error code did show up relating to the valve when we scanned the car. The h pipe valve was just not working with the akra unit installed.

You mentioned that this happened after the latest update to the car, do you remember roughly when that was?

Or is it another control unit?
The akra unit is the CAN sniffer which plugs into the akra control unit.
Have you heard of anyone having a working akra exhaust even after that software update?

Definitely sounds way better since my car didn't have pe. Quieter than stock with valves closed and alot louder with them open and no drone at cruise speeds.

This sort of upgrade is definitely not for everyone, especially given the price point - but the exhaust note is very much enjoyable
