Stop start works for 1-2 weeks after recharging
Hi all,
On my 2016 c63s I recharge the AMG and stop start works for about 1-2 weeks then it stops kicking in, green A symbol doesn't come up.
I tested battery voltage during idle and during startup and it's fine when stop start isn't working. I find it I do a few short trips that's when stop start doesn't work anymore afterwards.
What could it be? No errors with Carly.

I have the same. 2017 c63s and when the stop-start button is on, there's an amber no stop-start symbol in the dash even with a fully charged battery. No errors showing.
I don't use it anyway but interested to know what causes it.

Exactly the same in my 2020 C63S - works sometimes, and amber symbol when it doesn't...

You use stop/start? You must be the only one. Anyway, there are several parameters that go into when it is active and when it's not. Battery charge state is a big factor. Since it works after you recharge the battery then you likely don't have enough charge when it stops working. If you only drive short distances frequently, then the battery gets depleted and never fully charges. The app for the FL shows the battery state, not sure if the old Me app does that, too, and with the FL we also get alerts on the phone if the battery charge gets too low. Have you ever changed the battery? If this car is still on the original battery then it's likely that your battery is done and needs to be replaced. About 4 years is what you get out of a battery nowadays. Anything longer is questionable or luck.

Auto start stop is an *** of a feature.
Are you in comfort mode when this happens? If I remember correctly the *** light goes amber and does not work if I'm not in sport+, I might have remembered wrong though since auto start stop is the first thing I turn off after starting my car.

Now how often we need to change the aux capattery I have no idea.

Thanks all, yep I use comfort mode when I'm happy for stop start to kick in. But I need to recharge battery for it to work.
I'm thinking the battery is old, I've only owned the car 2 months, so I suppose the person before me didn't replace it in the last 4 years.
