New 2023 C63S Just Ordered!
First time poster, long time AMG enthusiast and current owner of a 2019 C43 Coupe.
I have tied to post a few times so we'll see if this works.
I was in to my local MB dealer Tuesday of this week to get new Michelin Sports installed on my coupe and I got talking with the AMG specialists. He is one of, if not the #1 AMG specialist in Canada.
He was very interested in my Coupe. It only has 20,000 km, it is loaded and in mint shape. He has literally nothing to sell and a huge waiting list for Coupes, new and used. I told him if the trade offer
was right I'd consider the new C43 Sedan. With my kids and my golf addiction I need a sedan. I love the coupe but it is totally impractical for carrying hockey gear, golf clubs etc.
Anyhow, I had always wanted the C63S but I need AWD for our winters as this is my daily driver, and I went with the C43.
I mentioned that it was a shame the C63 didn't at least have an AWD option for guys like me in Canada and the Northern U.S. His ears perked up. he knows I'm an AMG junkie and he told me, as if entirely off the record, that a new C63 Sedan was coming in 2023. Obviously I was intrigued. I asked for some details but beyond rough HP numbers, the gas/hybrid configuration and some other minor stuff he knew almost nothing. He had 1 or 2 internet pics, no brochures, no literature, no configurator...nothing. He did say the price would be roughly that of 2022 models, and the performance will be mind blowing! . AMG reps aren't even scheduled to be trained on this model until late Summer/early fall.
I asked about the sound... I have owned many 911's and other sports cars over the years and even though the C43 isn't quite the C63 it is the best sounding car I have owned. He assured me that AMG engineers are very cognizant of the sound expectations from C63 clients and that while it might not be the same, but amazing in its own way.
He gave me an extremely attractive trade in range for my C43... Good enough for me and after 14 seconds of deliberation the down payment was on my credit card. Done!
I was advised that I am very high in the North American cue and should be one of the first to receive the C63S.
Needless to say I can't wait. I should be able to configure by September with a delivery around March/April.
Can't wait man!
Then again maybe not.

To put money down on a car that is a year away is absolutely ludicrous.
And I don't have to put a deposit down either for ordered cars. You are a car salesmens best friend, I can assure you they laughed at you after leaving their office.

I think I may be top 75 on the NA order list.
The production run will be limited, with long wait times due to supply shortages.
Despite the hybrid/ 4 banger engine it will be very highly coveted, maybe not by V8 die hards, but by the premium sports car market in general.
Some will likely be waiting 18 months to 2 years as they are doing with current premium electrics and Hybrids.
For my fully refundable $1,000.00 I won’t be waiting.

Just inquire about W206 C63 orders. Great dude and very AMG centric.
Tell him a guy name Pete was posting on MB World about his 2023 C63S and ask about placing an order.
Give Jay a call.
I did tell him if he looked after me I’d send business his way…
He was not sure about the US dealers.
if you are in Ontario and you want an expert call Jay.
His business card and contact info is in the pics above.
Iost an Infiniti coupe in the past over some BS about me having not made a deposit and it ain’t happening again.
These guys are great, they are not going to run off with my refundable grand.
I still have very little idea of what the car looks like, both interior and exterior.
Thanks
Pete

I was looking to buy a baby mover at the start of the year and asked my dealer about when the new GLC would be released and details, he had already taken 10+ orders on it and it wasn't even "officially released" yet.
Back in the day I put a deposit down for an Evo 9 once "unofficial" news came out Mitsubishi were going to make it.
Mercedes AMG teams know virtually nothing about the new C63S, but if you are a believer in all
the incredible things that make the AMG division what it is, you know the car is going to be beyond spectacular.
The only reason for the as-of-yet slow trickle of orders is that very, very few are aware it is actually about to hit production.
I have heard that AMG reps are not even allowed or encouraged to reach out directly to their own AMG clientele base as they have not been formally trained on the new model and won’t be for a couple of months.
Once the news and Specs and performance reviews get out there will be a mad rush for this vehicle, and an in an environment of extremely limited availability with pronounced lead times to delivery.
I am well aware of the massive premium market that existed for nearly 2 years on the Vette launch.
Yes there are many, many more Corvette enthusiasts than those of the C63. BUT C63 enthusiasts have the financial wherewithal to buy one, where the majority of Vette lovers are just that, enthusiasts who will never be able to afford one.
And this vehicle has such mind blowing engineering incorporated and driving insane HP numbers it’s appeal will explode beyond the limited, fanatical, but relatively small cult following of previous models.
This will attract European brand enthusiasts in droves, not just the C63 guys that get pumped up for each facelift and ground up launch. Whether you are a BMW, Audi or Porsche guy you have nothing but the deepest respect for AMG and this car will strain those brand loyalties and attract those buyers, no matter their previous allegiance those makes. The new C63S will be that revolutionary in my opinion.
Within 3/5 months of launch the backlog on this vehicle will be insurmountable for many buyers, creating a significantly lucrative resale opportunity for those in the cue and receiving vehicles in the first delivery cycle.
They simple cannot meet much more than a small percentage of anticipated demand given the ongoing supply chain issues, and that current trend has no end in sight.
I am absolutely keeping Mine….If my wife would let me I’d order a second one yesterday.
If some of those early in the cue didn’t make a very handsome profit on resale I would be shocked!
Congrats
Done it several times on pre launch vehicles. Of course I had a level of comfort and confidence in those German manufacturers but nowhere near the trust that I have in the AMG division.
They won’t F this up, that I know. Their entire future rides on their hybrid launches. There is no room to F that up or that could be it for AMG.
Won’t happen!
that is just me though…
