W205 C63s radiator removal

Hi all,

Well, I eventually bought the c63s from the auction and I'm currently in the process of stripping it down (if you get bored and feel like following along then hop over to https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyX...1COqis2M31iGYw and check the first video out). I need to get to the oil feeder pipes at the front of the engine block to replace them and I think I need to remove the rads to do that. However, as you know the air con condenser rad is there and I'm not keen on disconnecting it and was thinking could I just remove the fan unit instead? Is that even possible or do you need to remove everything anyway?

The next question is - does anyone have a link to a decent guide or video to help me work out how the rads are attached to each other and the car?

Current state!

Check out the Modalworks replacement radiator products. I think they publish installation instructions on their site which obviously starts with removing the OEM ones.

fairly easy I've done this already.

from experience I would remove/detach the transmission cooler block that's on the right side of the radiator. there's 1 clip up top from the block that is holding it securely but to access it you'll need to remove the top right radiator hose. after the cooler block is detached removing the rest of the radiator hoses becomes a breeze. the ac condenser and everything else is just being held by clips/screws nothing crazy. good luck!

Ohhh excellent! Thank you. I'll go and have a look now!

I was very aware of the gearbox cooler and did wonder how it was fitted, now I know, TY

The other little scratching head moment was the pipe that's attached to the fan at the top (looks like it has two torx screws holding it to the fan) if I need to remove those? I'm guessing so right? The air con condenser I refitted into a new radiator surround and it's now being held up with a new radiator support stand I also fitted. The charge rad is hopefully coming in the post early next week. Once I get all the bits for the coolant system in place I'll check it for leaks and then pull it all apart again so I can get at the oil feeder hoses! It's all coming together!

Quick update.

Thanks to all that replied . After watching a few videos and consulting WIS I managed to remove them all and get to those pesky oil feeder lines! If anyone needs any help/advice then I'm here!

Found the air con rad to have damage as well, so that's the high temp, main charge, left charge, oil cooler rad and aircon rad all gone boom!
