2017 C63S Brake job
This seems pretty crazy high. Is this reasonable? The car only has 40K miles and it is the SECOND brake job.
I searched and didn't find anything and with inflation suspect prices are just wacky.
Thanks!
Any reason you can't do this one yourself? $3600 in parts sounds absurd, unless your have the carbon ceramics.
A quick look on FCP Euro gave me the following: $1086 for the fronts (2-piece rotos and pads), and $646 for the rears (rotors and pads) = $1732

.The advise about FCP Euro is solid, though. I used their front kit for the first job (those rotors are actually from the C63 Black Series), and FCP Euro has lifetime replacement, so my next kit is free. For the rears I had just replaced the pads before FCP offered a kit, so those I had my indy source and I still have the original rotors in the rear, but they need to be replaced now. This time I'll get the FCP Euro rear kit. All in all it'll be around $2000 with parts from FCP Euro and labor at my indy, but then I get about $1000 back once I send the worn parts back to FCP. I bought the kit before they changed their lifetime replacement program, so I'll get a cash refund, but moving forward they only give store credit.

MB Original brake components. I then called Mercedes SA which I had been dealing with and he gave me a quote of $600 more than the Indy. I informed him of the Indy quote and magically he could match it. So it was much more convenient for me to have it done at MB. See Invoice above. So you may want to use the quote from your Indy and then see if Mercedes will match it or better it.
At 17,993 miles the Check Brake Pad light came on and had the Rear brakes and rotors replaced at MB Dealership. Invoice above.
Even if MB price matches the indy shop (say, $3800?), that's still crazy

Buy the parts from FCP Euro and DIY/take it to the mechanic

according to their website FCP does offer lifetime replacement but if i'm understanding right , you need to buy replacement brake from them. Then if you need to replace them in the futur you will need to paid again to get a new set and send it back for a credit ?? so it's like the third set will be free??
