My 2017 AMG c63s revs to redline in N & P. How?

2017 AMG C63s
My 2017 AMG c63s revs to redline in N & P. How?
2017 W205 C63s AMG (uk)

I’ve had the car for a four months and noticed that I can go way beyond the documented 4000rpm when it’s sat in neutral or park. I’ve done 30 mins of forum scanning and can’t find any reference to this being possible even with a reprogramme.

Any idea how the previous owner(s) has achieved this?

(I don’t do it often at all, but the couple of times I have it sounds utterly magical)

Hmm that’s weird. The forums i read were from 2017 and 2018. Face lift was 2019 right?

My 2016 S* doesn't go past 4k... in P&N btw.. Not sure if thats correct about PFL's being able to go past

Could it be region dependent or software update dependent? Unlikely for the latter but MB might had changed the behaviour during certain powertrain, TCU, ECU, etc. updates.
