20’ C63s coupe carbon fiber and aerodynamic packages

Hey Everyone, picked up a new to me 20’ C63s coupe, I was wondering if anyone had any pics of the Carbon Fiber 1+2 and Aerodynamic packages that were available when you could order this car? I searched the threads but couldn’t find any specific pics pointing the differences. Also any idea how much they cost back when they were new?

Congrats! Here's mine with both packages. A-wing, mirrors, spoiler and diffuser are CF. Side sills are still gloss black due to the aero package. Here in the USA, the CF I package was $1,750 and the CF II package was $2,950.

Wow looks amazing! Love the rims. And thanks for the info, thats what I was looking for! I still cant quite tell the difference in the rear bumper for the aero package, it looks so similar to mine. Do you remember how much they charged for the aero package?

It is kinda hard to see in some of the pictures. Here's a close-up crop. The diffuser is CF, but the splitter is gloss black. The aero package was $1,750.

Awesome thanks! I think at some point I will add the carbon fiber parts. I like the way yours is with gloss black side skirts.

The gloss black side sills were a bit of a controversy in 2019. The CF II package is supposed to include carbon side sills, but the aero package deletes the carbon, yet the package stayed the same price and MB didn't disclose it in the order guide. They updated the guide for 2020 and made it clear. I even contacted MB USA afterwards, but they essentially responded that the car was built to spec. I now prefer that they are gloss black. It gives it consistency. All the lower aero parts, front splitter, side sills and rear splitter are gloss black and then above it it's carbon fiber. Especially the splitters are also easy to damage, so if they were carbon fiber they might be even easier to crack, and of course more expensive to replace. I already cracked the front splitter once.

Just a heads up, the side sills were initially just glued on, and they started to come off for many. Mine started to come off as well and it took like 4 dealer visits until AMG came out with revised parts that screw on. Now they are staying put. Don't know when they switched production to the revised parts, but if they start to separate from the rocker panel, then yours are glued on as well.

Q: do they make those side sills in CF? Are they a 1-4-1 swap if ‘yes’?

No, they don't. Only the non-aero side sills are available in CF.

Thanks for the info will keep an eye out for that! Interestingly enough MB website now has 23’ C63s for order and in the build configurator (after being told they were not making anymore &#128580, packages and prices are exactly as you said!

Configuring now. Why can't you have the Driver Assistance package with the AMG Exterior Carbon Fiber Package 1? That's only the side mirror housings and spoiler. Doesn't make sense. Just an MB thing I guess. You know why @superswiss?

Must be a bug in the configurator or change in suppliers and side assist or something no longer works with the CF mirror housings. There was no such restriction back in 2019 and my car was built with both.

Thanks superswiss. I think you're right it's a mistake. Especially since you have all three and there is no reason why carbon mirrors and a spoiler would/should cancel the driver assistance package. Talked to my SA and I'm going in tomorrow morning to order one. Hopefully once the order gets submitted it gets accepted. I'll post my dealer paperwork tomorrow after it's placed. My only hang up at the moment is Selenite Gray Magno or Starling Blue metallic. You don't get a whole heck of a lot of choices. I know what Brilliant Blue looks like but not Starling and of course you can't tell anything by the configurator. Don't know why they don't have like a 6" squared pieces of sheet metal with the actual colors for customers to see.

Question guys, does my rear bumper have the aerodynamic package? I’ve seen some C63’s that don’t have that black gloss that wraps around the exhaust tips…

Yes, that's the aerodynamic package splitter. The wraparound is part of the aero package.

Awesome, thanks for that. Oddly enough it wasn't included in the spec sheet that the dealer gave me. Maybe the previous owner had it added after they bought the car?? I'm going to see if I can order the Carbon Fiber rear diffuser from MB and have the aero kit put on top of it. The aftermarket carbon fiber places I talked to said they weren't sure if their rear diffusers would be able to fit the aerodynamic parts on top of their rear diffusers....
