Hi everyone, I wanted to post this thread to see if anyone had any suggestions that could help me and assist people in the future with this same issue. I've had my c63 for almost three years now and it gets plenty of daily use, leading to wear and tear. My leather marker @ 12 o'clock has seemed to fade and the color is coming off. Has anyone else experienced this? I was thinking it could possibly be refinished by a professional but not really sure. Has anyone seen someone fix anything like this or is it easier to just buy a new wheel?
Easy fix! I literally just painted mine yesterday by isolating that portion of the wheel with painters tape, cleaning with alcohol, then painting with Leather Studio leather and vinyl paint to that matches the original color. You can also find a leather upholstery professional that can do it in half the time it took me (I took about an hour waiting in between coats). Far, far less expensive than getting new wheel.
Yeah, seems prone to happen. Happened to mine, too fairly early but haven't bothered to get it fixed. My MB dealer gave me a recommendation for a place that has lots of experience with MBs. I kinda have gotten used to it actually and think it gives it some character. Mine doesn't look as bad, though I think and hasn't gotten worse. Your leather is all shiny, too, so might be time to redo the whole wheel for you.

I have the same issue but just a tad bit worse.. I might just go ahead and spray paint that area and probably san it so it's smooth. I never touch that part of the steering wheel so might as well paint it like the other guy did haha
Can you be a little more specific? "Matt White" is a finisher got it.
so let me get this straight, you first need to paint it White colour then "Matt" Finisher?
How many coats of each?

You use the regular white paint , about 4 coats , then 1 coat of the finisher. I used the satin on my car but I would’ve preferred the matte finish so it’s not so glossy. I let it dry for 24 hrs before using the car aswell. There’s YT videos on people doing this just search it up if you need help.
All good mate. The inserts on the seats and wheel seem to be cream in colour that's why I'm asking but if you suggest white looks ok I'll go for that.
Also what brush did you use?
