Taking Delivery of 2023 C63S Coupe Tomorrow!

Tomorrow morning, my 2023 coupe should arrive from Ohio. I was very fortunate to close the deal @ MSRP while most dealers are charging $5-15k ADM's especially on high spec builds such as mine. Shipping from OH to Texas via enclosed trailer was a reasonable $1500. I'll post more pics upon taking delivery.

Here's the build sheet:

Brilliant spec and the way you worked dealers to get a car like this. I think of your car as a "Final Edition" because it's the last of the C63 V8s. You just happened to get more options on yours and saved 36k on overpriced garish accoutrements. Well done.

Thank you! I definitely hope I can enjoy this one after the fiasco with my 2021! It was the best spec I could find that was still available, I'm glad I was able to snag it!

Thanks bro! You didn't do too shabby yourself with your selenite gray beast that's on the way. I agree, cars like mine and yours are more of an "Final Edition" than the actual FE because of how they're spec'd in comparison. It's always going to be a head scratcher as to why MB / AMG dropped the ball in optioning the FE for the USA market.

The beast just arrived! I took a short test drive then some quick pics. I absolutely love the performance seats, they're a huge upgrade from the regular seats I had in my '21. I've never seen this option on another C63s build sheet, but it came with the $85 D38 AMG Star Set option, which is basically just an AMG plate cover, tire valve caps and an AMG keychain. The car actually arrived very dusty so I'll take better pics when I get it cleaned up.

Thanks man! There aren’t too many high spec’d new ones left unless you’re willing to dish out a $33k premium on the FE. But there are plenty of used ‘19-21 facelifts out there if you’re considering trading up.

First impressions on the 2023, and perhaps it’s just placebo effect but the 2023 definitely seems like it’s louder than my 2021 was. Maybe also placebo effect (since I’ve been driving my M6 more lately and haven’t been behind the wheel of a C63s in almost 2 months), but it feels like it’s faster than my 2021 was. One thing is for sure, the seats are way more comfortable than my 2021. Total game changer!

I wholly agree with you that the performance seats are a must. When I was shopping for mine I test drove one with the standard seats first and thought they were fine. When I test drove the other with the performance seats I was sold on them immediately.

Congratz on the car! I'm extra jealous since your build is very similar to mine!

May I ask when you ordered it and when it was built? My stealership has no answers for me. I ordered in Oct of last year and it was done being built in January. Has not left Germany yet, unfortunately...

Congratulations on the arrival of your new beast! I love that matte paint!

I know its still new (extremely low mileage), but can you confirm or deny the presence of the bangs, pops, and crackles (like on the pre-facelift, 2018 and earlier models) in the exhaust on your 2023?

My first test drive on a C63s was on a 2018 PFL which had performance seats. However, I don't remember them being this comfortable. I was trying to make sure the car I bought had this option mostly for aesthetics, but they truly are for better performance as the entire ride feels transformed to another level I never experienced on my 2021. I'm so glad I have them!

Thanks! I'm debating if I want to do the steering wheel airbag cover mod which would complete the yellow stitching look. We'll see...

Thanks, much appreciated! I definitely plan to take full advantage of this beast since I never really got to enjoy my 2021 with its transmission issues and multiple trips to the dealer.

Thanks man! I'd love to see pics of yours when you receive it. It was a dealer build, completed in late March. Left Germany around 04/05, arrived to Baltimore VPC on 04/27. Dealer received my car 05/04, I received it just 2 weeks later. Everything went as smoothly as it could go, I'm really pleased with how MB of N. Olmstead handled the sale. They didn't try to upsell me anything other than the wheel/tire package, windshield replacement package, and tint/ppf all of which I respectfully declined as I'll be getting the tint and ppf done here in a couple of weeks and don't really need the other two. Hopefully your car gets the parts/chips it needs soon so it can be on its way to you.

Thanks man! Yeah the pics don't do the the matte paint justice. It looks so much nicer in person. I'm also anxious to know if the pops and bangs are the same as the PFL, but I only drove it very lightly for 10 miles yesterday from work back home. In those 10 miles, I didn't drive it hard or rev it so I couldn't tell other than it seems louder than my 2021. I'm choosing not to really drive it until it's wrapped in ppf. That appointment isn't until the end of May so it'll be sitting in my garage until then. I'll definitely post an update here when I learn more.

When you say "dealer build", do you mean the dealer had the car and you bought it, or did you build it and order it from the dealer? I "built" mine with the salesperson and ordered it through the dealer. By looking at the purchase order numbers, mine is like 15,000 orders behind yours. I don't think that looks very good for me. My lease ended in late April and I've been car-less since then. If the order numbers are indicators, then I might be waiting for a while...

I'm pretty pissed at the stealer. They have already sold my former lease car (very, very low miles) and despite being told my car would be here by my lease end, it still had not left Germany. We're looking at 4-5 weeks minimum from the point it ships and I ordered it back in Oct. 22'.

Don't know what make your previous lease car was but if you have a car on order from MB while on a soon to be expiring MB lease they will extend it monthly until your new MB arrives.

Of course, they offered to extend my lease, but that only makes more money for them. I have no reason to do that. It is literally cheaper for me to Uber around than it is to pay for my old car lease. They are not doing me a favor by extending my lease at all.

My counteroffer was: I will make payments on the new car (2023), but I get to drive around my old car (2020) for 'free' until the new car arrives, to which they said no. That is the only way I get any benefit out of this situation. My lease payments are like $1700/mo. and I drive a grand total of about 1,000 miles (not a typo) a year. They are going to make so much money selling my old car it's actually crazy they can't seem to get my new car here or even get me any answers as to why it's delayed. Ordered Oct. 22'. Build completed Jan 2023 (according to the stealership). Lease expired April 2023. Still no car and it apparently has not left Germany yet.

Sorry to hear you’re going through that on your new car. Is it a C63S coupe? My car was spec’d and ordered by the dealer. I put down a $5k deposit after it had already been built and was waiting for a ship, as surprisingly no one had claimed it yet. It was spec’d 99% how I would’ve built mine anyway so I’m really thankful for that.

Thanks man! I didn’t really have a choice of exterior color, but did have a choice of this color interior or the red w/pepper interior. I’m really happy with this color combination.

Off topic, but wouldn't you have been better off just buying out the lease then selling it if/when the new one arrives?
