C63S COUPE BIG TIRES

Looking to run a bigger tire setup on my 2018 C63S Coupe.

I have the staggered AMG GTR Style rims and love the look of them but looking for a lot more meat on them.

I have seen @8cd03gro run 275/35/19 FRONTS and 305/30/20 REARS PS4S.

I love how that sits and looks but wondering if there is room to get away with a 265/40/19 FRONTS and 305/35/20 REARS PS4S.

Curious to hear you guys thoughts of if you have nay photos for reference!

I ran 265/35/19 F and 305/30/20 R on my 2021 coupe and I’m currently running 275/35/19 F with the same rears on my ‘23 coupe.

I don’t know if 265/40/19 F and 305/35/20 will work but with both of these setups, I’ve had no issues. Personally I wouldn’t try it since the setup I currently have on my ‘23 is pretty much pushing the clearance limits and that extra sidewall will likely cause rubbing.

@RavenM6 I appreciate the info!

I am currently lowered on H&R Springs but its way to low for my liking so I'm going back to the stock suspension.

I really like how @8cd03gro car looks on the 275 fronts as well.

You got any photos? And are you running any spacers?

I’m on stock suspension, no spacers. I posted several pics in the 2 threads I linked to in my post above.

@RavenM6 Oh sorry didn't notice they were clickable in the comment. Know what you know now - would you say a 315/30/20 would likely fit?

I like the 275/35/19 F and 305/30/20 R - but Im not the biggest fan of the front tire having a bigger sidewall than the rear and I feel as though the 315 would solve that..

Curious to know your thoughts - thanks again!

Re Big tires / Fender clearance plus Costly Premature Excess Edge Tire Wear..... and no factory adjustment !!

We saw the need therefore and manufacture both Front and Rear adjuster kits - (Designed to be Bolt on, No special tools or Need for control arm removal).

Front and Rear retaining top of tire to outer fender when adjusting for more even tire wear or traction while front kit #503316-2J $380 adjusts top of tire providing up to extra 1/2 inch (in or out) fender clearance.

Precise single wrench - easily accessible and ultimate direct on alignment rack UNDER LOAD.

I have been running 305/30/20 PS4S on a 20x11 +50 offset wheel for a while now. I am about to put on Nitto NTRRR2 305/30/20 on that same wheel.

Originally had H&R lowering springs and it rubbed really badly, even on hard acceleration. I had to put stock springs back on, and still rubs on big dips but minimally. What’s interesting is the inner back fender well has significant rub marks. The outer fender rubbed initially but has the fenders rolled to help with that. Also adding in some camber could help - just takes away valuable traction. I am waiting on @ModalWorks to release their billet rear arm kit for S models.

I have a 3mm spacer I am going to try and see if that helps. May move to a 5 or 10mm if the 3mm is not enough.

also think the 11” wide wheel with +50 offset doesn’t help.

id like to get back to lowering springs in the rear but it may not be possible unless I drop to a 10.5” wheel.

315 is def not going to fit and i think the taller sidewalls on the other also wont fit because im running 275/35 and 305/30 too and its a very flush setup with no wiggle room for more

Yeah the max you can safely run on those factory 10.5” rears is 305. For 315’s, you’ll need to move up to an aftermarket 11” or even better an 11.5” rim. And I’m not sure you’ll even have the fender or brake clearance needed to run a size bigger than 305/10.5”.

What is the recommended (cold) tire pressure when running 275/35 front and 305/30 rear to avoid rubbing?

I run 34F / 36R, never encountered any rubbing. It seems those who experienced rubbing with 275 fronts were running higher PSI’s in the low to mid 40’s.

Got the OEM Springs put back on yesterday - I still have some rubber left so I'm currently running 255/35/30F & 295/30/20R with 20MM Spacer Front & 15MM Spacer Rear.

To my surprise the 15mm in the rear fit really flush with no poke on the 295's. However I think the front needs a 15mm since there is just a tad of poke with the 255's

Didn't pull the trigger on the new tires since I'd say Ive got 30% left front and rear. After that I'll be doing the 275/305 setup.

Let me know your thoughts!

Looks dope, personal preference here- blacked out sidewall on the rim would look sick.

Main reason I'm commenting- yours is the Iridium color, correct?

I can't tell, but is your front grill blacked out? If so, can you send a pic of it? lol. Same color and I want to black mine out, but haven't seen any with blacked out front. Lol, gracias partna-

@seabiscuit Thanks man!

It is Iridium Silver indeed.

I actually had a 2019 C63 before this one but sold it after 3 years since it was so quiet and that one I actually blacked out the lip but didn't look all that great imo - just blended in with the tire and kind of looked a little cheap imo but obviously personal preference.

The reason I chose Iridium Silver is because I wanted to do a Black / Silver / Yellow look. I would paint them all black if the car was not silver but that was the reason I wanted silver in the first place.

I also just updated the tips and diffuser with the OEM larger facelifted ones. I went with Silver tips too since it matches the wheel lip and color of the car + the major reason is so you can actually see them lol - never liked how the black just got lost in the diffuser personally.

As far as the grille goes I also swapped it out with a Gloss Black facelifted one with new Emblem with black surourd. Made the biggest difference. It was the first thing I did.

Send a pic of your car!

Duuuude- you totally just sold me on getting mine to the paint shop, once it arrives at the end of the month, and painting the grill gloss black! Hell yeah, I literally could not find a pic on Google to save my life, and I Goog'd many different keywords like silver/front grill blacked out etc. Love it!!

Also- that rear diffuser is FN SICK!! Where did you get that from? I want to add a front lip and rear one. Does the company you got the rear from, have a front one?!

@seabiscuit Thanks bro! Yah just got it installed - the company is RW CARBON - they've got great stuff and also front lips and things just gotta be specific cause I know it's different for sedan versions.

Congrats on the new C63S! Love the spec too. The buckets / performance exhaust are a must imo.

For the amber delete its just gloss black ppf that I have the shop use knife tape so that it follows the amber line exactly. Cheap easy and quick.

It looks phenomenal, your mods are somewhat subtle yet very tasteful. The car’s look is nicely transformed.

I’ve been wanting to swap my black night package exhaust tips with the chrome ones. Are your silver tips oem or aftermarket? Mind sharing where you sourced them from?

@RavenM6 That's exactly what I'm going for so I really appreciate that comment!

In regards to switching out the tips they are OEM and the quality is next level. Both the diffuser and tips are from RW CARBON.

Here is the link for the tips: EXHAUST TIPS LINK

Matt- do you have any exhaust mods? I can't decide what setup to run- midpipe/straight pipe/Xpipe-- I'm reviewing clips and it seems like midpipe is a must? But can't figure out if the Midpipe plus straight pipe sounds the best? Appreciate your feedback Sir.
