Widest Tire Width FL 63S Sedan
Did a bunch of searching before posting this, and there was a lot of feedback with Coupe tire width, but haven't seen much info RE Sedans.
Anyhow- I would love to replace the stock 265s on the rear. It looks as though the max is 285 for the rear? Played around with TireRack's custom tire search etc.
Question being- is 285 the widest for a 2020 63S Sedan? If so- Should I run 30 or 35s? I'm assuming ride quality with 35 would be "less harsh", but is there any positive to a 30?
Cheers
lots of ifs/buts and further information needed for definitive answers, and ultimately comes down to your own preferences on looks/appearance.
Are you on stock rims, if so, which? It matters for the sake of appearance/look. A narrower rim with a 285 width tire, whilst fits fine, will give you some squareness or possibly, slight 'bulge'.
if you're lowered (springs/coil overs etc) 2xx/30 'looks' fine .... if you're stock height, then 35 probably works out best....... 30's on stock height/rims will leave you with quite the wheel arch gap.
Ride "harshness" is negligible/undetectable by most between the 2 profiles, especially if the roads you typically drive on are poor or dont have good control over air pressures.
there's MANY posts/threads on suitable wheel/tire sizing for sedan's and coupe w205's across the forum with pictures......
I'd go front 255/35 rear 275/35 on stock wheels.
