10k miles later, car never skips a beat. I beat the crap out of it nearly every single day too. Not stock either (intakes, upgraded turbos, catless dps, NGK plugs, custom tune). Frequent oil changes help too.

Many repair shops say this fault is fatal and must be replaced. I think they're making such comments to make money. Now I've decided to ask a tuner to code the CEL. Thank you!
how is your car? Running fine? I’m decoding mine right now.

GLE63s M177 oil solenoid

Hello,

I Have GLE63s 2021 with the M177 LS2 engine, couple of days ago I got the CEL and the code P06DA00.
I performed some measurements with a mechanical pressure gauge connected to the oil filter housing and got the following results:
Cold start (oil temp 12° c) - 4bars it started to drop with 0.2bars and every 10°c of the oil temperature.
Warm idle 90°c-1.4 bars
2-3k RPM - 3.8-4 bars
Over 3k RPM - 4 bars
Those measurements are with deactivated pressure valve.
According to MB with a normal working pressure valve the values at 100° c engine oil should be at:
idle 0.9-1.5 Bars
2k RPM 1.9 -2.3 bars
4k RPM 3.7-5.2 bars

what do you guys think about the data above, should I Leave like it is?

You can make up your mind by reviewing pros and cons from before and now after.

Thanks for the insight. I would personally leave it as it is, even if you plan to keep the truck short term or long term. Repair cost is simply not worth it, especially in a 4matic vehicle. If your engine is stock or near stock, you'll be fine.

As stated above, I personally drive my non-stock car very hard. Engine might only last 100k miles, but I can live with that. I'll likely make sure the solenoid is deactivated in my next engine.

I live in Las Vegas and no tuner would even do this

I fear that if the AMG engine developers could read this thread, they might choke on their dumplings at lunchtime.

I know engine rebuild guy , rebuilds M177LS1 often and that shows me allways there is no need to such (oil presure) fumble
on this oil system. 125.000 mi all is in best condition ( bearings, cylinder , piston etc). You can double check this by yourself @ YT Chanel shift 2 passion.
(use translator in YT)

Make oilchange every 1year/ ~6.000 mi with high quality oil , deaktivate start/stop automatik, no chip tuning , then M177 runs & runs …
