Day 1 of Ownership
Within 2-3 hours of purchasing this car, I ended up with a Blind Spot Assist Inoperative and Check Engine light... Hopefully this is not foreshadowing how ownership is gonna be.

44K miles BTW - clean Carfax, TX and FL car.
Check the blind spot radars, give them a bit of a wipe with a wet chamois. As for the engine light, did you recently fill gas? A lot of us have had it happen due to a loose gas cap.
Congratulations on your car by the way. I wish I had that nice digital dashboard (even if it had those warnings) 🙂

The blind spot thing happens sometimes, it's sensors, column module, low battery, sometimes it's just cold, cars dirty, just went thru the car wash, etc. Not making excuses for Mercedes but they're a bit wonky sometimes when it comes to that exact module.
If power is normal with the CEL then it most likely will go away with 4 or 5 starts of the car. I used get CEL sometimes after washing the car or filling up but it goes away after a few starts of the car.

I did wash the car (did not fill tank) , but the CEL has stayed on for more than 4-5 starts. Also the blind spot censors I tried cleaning to no avail... Might just take it in to the dealer
First thing is to get it scanned and find out the actual error code for the CEL. If you don't have your own diagnostic tool, take it to your local AutoZone or similar and they will scan it for you, so you know what it's not happy about and take it from there.
A common reason for the ADAS systems to fail are voltage issues due to an aging/bad battery. After about 4-6 years the AGM batteries in these cars are done. I had just recently replaced the battery in my 2019. While you are at it, also replace the aux battery/voltage regulator. It's a small capacitor that's known to fail. I need to do mine. Have the tools and parts, but haven't found the time yet to do it. I have an electrical gremlin in the instrument cluster, so doing the battery stuff first before going for the 6 hour reflash of the cluster.
AMG extended the warranty to 15 years or 150,000 miles as it's a known issue with the M177 engine. Your 2020 should be included in the warranty extension.

As noted just above I found this on line the official MB Bulletin regarding extended warranty for thermostat issues for certain model with V8 engines for years 2020 to 2023. So if your thermostat it will be covered.
. I have a 2019 C63s coupe and believe it's not covered according to the MB Bulletin.
. Currenty my car is at the MB Dealership getting the 6th year Service. I will ask if this Bulletin
includes the 2019 C63s coupe model year as I believe it the same set up as model years 2020 to 2023. If so I will update on the forum.

Now that you mention it, the thermostat issues are primarily affecting pandemic cars as far as I know. They had to change suppliers or got some bad batches during the pandemic. I believe 2019 and earlier are not affected. While the thermostat can occasional fail even in earlier models and other cars for that matter, it's not a widespread issue as in the cars bult during the pandemic.

. Just pick up my car after the 6 year Service. The SA listed the SERVICE PACKAGES that pertain specifically to my 2019 C63s coupe. Unfortunately nothing noted to any future Extended warranty on thermostat issues for 2019 model. See photo below what is included for my SERVICE PACKAGES:
1. 2 year prepaid maintenance program (that I used for 5 and 6 year Service)
2. My 2 year MB Extended Warranty that I purchased after the 4 year warranty expired.
3. HVAC Warranty (end date 4/12/2029)
4. Ignition coil warranty good
for 15 years/150,000 miles.
