Red Carbon Fiber Exterior Trim on C205 C63
A friend’s 2019 C63 S AMG Coupe (C205) has a full red carbon fiber exterior pack/trim. This includes the front lip, mirror caps, side skirts, and rear diffuser.
To me, this looks OEM. The fit and finish is identical to my old one, which had the standard factory carbon fiber package, the only difference is hers is in red carbon fiber instead of the usual black.
She’s the second owner, so unfortunately she doesn’t have any background on whether this was a factory special, dealer-installed upgrade, or an aftermarket mod. What makes this even more interesting is that her car is fully loaded, it literally has every option, including the carbon ceramic brakes, which are already rare on the C205.
I know the Exterior Carbon Fiber Package was a factory option, but I’ve only ever seen it in black. I haven’t found any documentation showing red CF being offered from AMG or via Designo Manufaktur Program.
So I’m wondering:

what you are referring to is definitely aftermarket. Only the Edition 1 (2015/16) model came with some red trimming and that was only in the front grill, stripe o the side mirrors, callipers and interior console...

I’m honestly having a hard time believing this isn’t OEM.
The fitment, finish, and weave quality are flawless, it looks exactly like the factory carbon fiber on any other C205 with carbon package, just in red. No rough edges, no alignment issues, no hazing in the clear, it’s super clean. If it’s aftermarket, it’s the best I’ve ever seen.
That said, if this really is aftermarket, do you happen to know which vendor/brand makes it?

Any possibility the previous owner paid to get the OEM trim painted with a red tinted clear coat? I've never seen red tinted carbon available from any aftermarket company and, as everyone else has pointed out, it was not a factory option.

I hadn’t thought of that, but yeah that’s probably the only explanation that makes sense, which explains the perfect fit.
