Exhaust Note Louder

I have a 2017 C63S convertible and want to make the exhaust sound better. Any recommendations on how to do this? I read that some people have been deleting the resonators and wondered how this has gone. I would like it louder but not droning on the highway.

Thanks.

What do you mean with “resonators” ?
The exhaust flaps (U78) ?

My recommendation would be the C63 exhaust from Supersprint.I haven't found anything better yet.

The best way to make it louder is to go with 200cel single-cat downpipes (or even catless downpipes). You can keep the rest of the exhaust factory.
The axle-back muffler kits out there are expensive and barely change the sound from stock.

Is this street legal in USA without cat or 200 cel cat ? I dont know but tell me.

This engines are build for street use not for race only … a clever person told me that this engines needs counter pressure
to work proberly. catless there is no cp .

Its not legal but no one ever checks.
I have been reading that a back box delete is good but to make sure the valves are welded back into the straight pipe.

There are 50-state legal single-cat downpipes but they are expensive (Redstar with GESI cats are $3350). I have ModalWorks 200 cel downpipes and I live in CO which has the exact same emissions standards as CA (the strictest there are). My car passes emissions and I have no check engine light (stock tune). You just have to use a set of "defoulers" for the downstream O2 sensors. THESE

Also 100% incorrect that a turbocharged engine needs restriction on the exhaust.... Turbos want / need to get air in and out as efficiently as possible. Anything you can do to free up airflow on both sides of a turbo makes it more efficient.

Thats in good old Europe not possible because there is a car check ( technical & emission) all two years. They love DIN-Norm and technical certificates. LoL

More in and more out sounds good but there is a thing with the gasflow in combustion chamber.they guy who told that has tested it on dyno 200cell vs nothing and also provided the appropriate explanation for it.

I respectfully disagree...
More air in and more air out IS the whole point of an engine. They are just big air pumps. If you want to make more power you have to move more air, period. You won't see ANY big turbo cars putting ANY kind of restrictions in their exhaust. In fact, on big race applications you see the exhaust vented right out the hood or right out the side of the fender - - - The shortest path possible with zero restriction.

The only real sacrifice for more air flow is some turbo lag, but in our cars it's very minor because the turbos are small and spool very quickly. That's the benefit of having two small turbos rather than one larger one... Quicker spooling.

Here's a couple videos on the topic.

The guys in the videos are all dragster.
That is what i said … race engine vs street engine you can not compare.
There are a lot of physiks & other
influencing factors on a engine build for street than build for race.

If I find the video again, I'll link it to you.
