The FE has the cool interior with yellow and matte carbon. Never was a fan of the huge diamond stitching of the EO but they did have the red carbon for the sedans

Both were cosmetic only. Edition One had things like the aero kit and an interior that couldn’t be ordered on the regular car.

The FE was largely a fixed config with options that were available on the regular builds. Except the decals and the interior carbon trim is matte instead of gloss. Also the wheels are unique. In Europe, the FE could be ordered with the CCBs, but in North America the FE couldn’t be ordered at all. They just built them and select dealers received one or two to sell.

The price was a joke given that there was basically nothing truly unique about them and dealers wanted another $20k plus on top of MSRP. It didn’t sell very well as a result. It wasn’t limited per se. Rather the last production year was a short production, so 2023 model year in general was limited and all of them not just the FE were built based on factory selected configurations. They didn’t take custom orders, at least here in North America.

There were some reports that the FE has more crackles and pops from the exhaust, but that was never really fully confirmed with a reliable comparison and AMG never said anything to confirm or deny.

EO more nicer to me.
This Selenite Grey Magno + the seats design.
It was a tribute to DTM Race Car.

You mean for 2023 only FE was to order ?

No, they sold regular 2023 and FE side-by-side, but both were limited in quantity due to reduced production volumes and it wasn't a full year production.

Yeah the 4 door EO was sweet with red carbon, red seat stitching, red belts, red ring around rims, and some red on the front grill. Damnit C63’s are sexy

I may be wrong but of all the Final Edition i’ve seen in person they all had chrome trim and alloy colored wheels. I need my night package I don’t do chrome

True

Same with the Edition One. For example, in the US, they all came as "S" versions, but there are non-S versions available abroad. Selenite Grey with yellow = S, and IIRC white with black Edition One door/fender decal was non-S, IIRC. That's similar to the S coupe (Selenite Grey with yellow) vs Sedan (black with red stripe/accents). Distinction based on model variations.

Also, the wheels in the US are different; they're the forged (super light) RXC 5-spoke with a thick yellow lip. In other areas, they got the multispoke black wheels with the thin yellow lip. Pics below.

What's really annoying is, in the US, they came pre-speced as you mentioned, with I think the P1 package only? So no Distronic, no 360 camera, and no parking sensors. Super annoying. I think Canada got these options though.

Can't speak to the FE, but on the Edition One, the price was a bargain, given that the Edition One option was actually less than the cost of the options (including CCBs). Plus the color is gorgeous.

Yes, the Edition One are usually a good deal, partly because they have all the bugs from the initial production run and the car hasn't been out yet to have created a following.

I agree the Edition One (officially 1 not one)
is underrated.

All the PFL problems you can solve - its only a question of money.

@FDNewbie

The European ones also had the RXC rims with the
thick yellow edge.

You missed the problems or what do you mean ?
There is a long list for PFL - none of these are minor matters what possibly catch you.

Yes I wasn't aware of the long list of PFL problems...got a thread link? I know the converse; the FL has the particulate filter which greatly reduces the exhaust sound

A little bit that is true but not so much as some guys saying but that's perfectly acceptable if you don't have all the PFL weak points in my mind.

But seriously, I'm curious what are the potential issues/drawbacks of the PFL, aside from the upgraded screen/CarPlay interface/instrument cluster?
