Morning Albertans
New here -- just sold my Porsche 997 C2S last night and I am considering the switch to a '12-13 C63 AMG sedan...
My question is: with good winter tires can I commute to work with this thing 95% of the time? I know this question has been asked before, I have read some comments but would like more opinions from locals.
I have a Toyota Tundra that I can drive on blizzard days but I just want to make sure the C63 isn't a garage queen like my 911 was.
Any input is much appreciated.
Having said that, the C63 is not really that different from any other RWD vehicle. With a set of decent snows and a gentle right foot, it will do OK 95% of the time - but then again, so would the 996. If you're looking for something "noticeably better" than the C2S though, the C63 is IMHO not the right car.
To clarify -- I didn't sell the 997 to find a "winter vehicle" -- I just wanted something with 4 doors and a different feeling. My 997 wasn't winter friendly because it was so low.
I picked up a '12 C63 AMG today
With studded Hakka's mounted...
I commute with mine to work and the only main problem is getting outside of my cul de sac lol

Its funny, when I began this search I wanted something cheaper on fuel than my 5.7L Tundra and with AWD -- I end up buying a 6.2L with RWD.
