Any smokers?

We got hammered Friday night on cigars, a bottle of Glennfiddich, and Cigar City Maduro beer...its been awhile since I had the feeling the room was spinning.
Opus X Love Affair @ the golf range...nice short smoke with a bucket of golf *****.

Friday night line up...Padron 1964 No. 4, Opus X Perfecxion No. 2, Cohiba Genios Maduro...great cigars with a great brown ale (Cigar City Maduro) and Glennfiddich. That Opus X has been aged for 7 yrs and is about the most PERFECT cigar I have ever smoked...my goodness was it smooth with absolutely no bite...ash was perfectly layered...smoke was voluminous.

Saturday Scramble cigars...Hoya de Monterrey 2011 Special Edicion and Padron 1964 No. 4. Hoya was ok...very grassy taste but after the 1st quarter was smoother...the Padron 60 ring gauge can be off putting but a good cigar if you like em big!

Tonight after dinner...Punch Double Corona...very good island cigar.

Arturo Fuente... Not sure if it's a Petit Corona or a Perfecto... but it was a sweetheart. Stupid-good construction, effortless draw, classic AF simplicity.
Tatuaje Miami (aka "Brown Label")... following Padron's example of "humble label, amazing smoke" this one was one for the books. A slender Lancero, this one had an effortless draw and a unique, floral note to the smoke that simply kept me coming back for more. Earthy, woody, and notes of nutmeg... had that 'almost Cuban" smell to the smoke. A VERY hard stick to put down. I WILL be buying more.
Second was the Gurkha Cellar Reserve. The first time I ever had this cigar (early 2012), I loved it. But this time was different. Played hell trying to light this thing, and it never really burned right. Very grassy start, chewy texture, tasted exactly like a basic Montecristo if I was to be blindfolded -- not a good thing in my book. I don't recall the last CR I smoked tasting like this...

Finally, the Carlos Toraño Noventa. This was part of the "cheap" sampler I linked you guys to up above (in case you're wondering, www.cigarsintl.com/SAZ55 ). I said it about this Toraño, and every one I've ever had -- if the first 2/3 of the cigar tasted like the last 1/3, they'd be box-worthy. But the final reward isn't worth the 30 minutes of "meh" flavor you have to get through. The final 2" of the Noventa was delicious -- almost reminded me of the Don Pepin Cuban Classic. But the first four inches were grassy, with notes of pencil lead and some sweetness. In other words, confusing. That being said, it's not a horrible smoke, and considering how cheap they are, might be an option for a daily smoke if you happen to be a Toraño fan.
Pics...
I just report the post, and carry on.
Happy birthday BTW!!!
STFU!!! YOU FOUND THOSE!?!?! Nice work!

^^^ BTW, CigarNubs is an awesome little review site. It's fairly young, but I love the guy's writing style. I've bought a few per his recommendation, and never been disappointed.

I was blown away... Tons of smoke, effortless draw, and I did not have to touch up the burn once during the entire smoke. Yes, it's that well-crafted.
I will be hunting more of these.

Lemme tell ya, folks... if you haven't had the Feral, TRY IT. Simply an experience -- from the moment you feel the amazing construction, make the cut, savor the first unlit draw, and finally toasting the foot for that first explosion of creamy white smoke. No kidding, the smokiest cigar I've ever had. It created so much smoke that my phone's camera actually had problems focusing on the label

Flavor -- strong, but delicious. Slightly uneven burn, but a gorgeous ash. Billows of creamy, white smoke and a flavor on the retrohale I simply couldn't get enough of. I smoked it until my knuckles simply couldn't take the heat... it was that good. I paired this with a Lazy Magnolia Southern Pecan beer( http://lazymagnolia.com/ourbeer.php ) and it was a match made in heaven.
Everything I've smoked that had Pepin's involvement, has been absolutely epic in my book:
- Aroma De Cuba
- Flor De Las Antillas
- Don Pepin Cuban Classic
- Tatuaje Miami Llonsdale
My catch of the day:

Easily becoming one I reach for before the Padron 5000 (yeah, I said it LOL)
I asked my supervisor if I could have a humidor at my desk, and burn a Robusto every other day as an offset for not smoking cigarettes.
I was expecting a rebuke, but we're so over-worked right now, she was like "I don't even care, go for it!"

I may order a box of Don Pepin Garcia robustos to celebrate. I could seriously take my laptop out there and never miss a beat.

GT-R looks freaking superb... And the Shark ain't half bad either!
GTR looks hot Jon! I cannot wait to see it next time I am in Florida.
could not go for an afternoon/lunch smoke due to time constraints. damn these 1 hour lunch breaks.
