Pics of lowered CL

For those who are always asking for pics... here are 2 pics of my CL before and after lowering. It is lowered here about 1" only. I wanted to post these as I am adding many mods to the car and wanted to document everything before and after for those who decide to do the same mods.

I love your rims btw. They really bring out the class on the car.

It was lowered using mechanical links made by Lorinser. These are the highest quality mechanical units I found. Unfortunately, Lorinser no longer makes this. They give plenty of precision at each wheel and they were very high quality steel. Here is a pic:

I have noticed that many do not like chrome here, but that was back in '01

first time I've ever heard of Lorinser links....very interesting

did you acquire them back when they were still making it?

how much did they run?

I bought the links from a dealer that had a set leftover on e-bay. These were imported by CEC corp from Germany. Not all that popular here. You can adjust the drop from a 2" raise to about a 2" drop infinitely, each wheel independently. They simply replace the factory rods that hold the sensors, and the length of the rod is then adjustable. Its a very clean way of doing it. $800 back then.

Nice find on the links, especially the independent wheel height adjustment, since lowered cars always sit lower on one side (annoys the hell out of me).

Yeah this was very precision. Because I drive alone most of the time, we lowered it so it sits perfectly flat with me in the car. We were very careful to keep the front/rear balance the same. Then a good alignment to 55 specs rounded it all out. The car does handle better. I am going to post some pics with the Eisanhaus exhaust and Renntech wheels soon.

Did you keep the original packaging? Please share a part # or info; I have a good friend in Germany that may be able to source it for me.

Thanks

Techbike I am sorry they kinda came in a plastic ziplock bag... no real part #'s or anything... a bunch of German writing. I just know they are Lorinser... and not made anymore by Lorinser.
