Have the CLs really depreciate this much? I know the miles are high but this seems like a great buy.

70K miles for a 2001? That's about average driving (12-15K/year). Maybe not for a car you may want to keep as a collectible (low miles) but not really 'high'.
The prices for CL's are dropping quickly for some reason. It may have to do with the new body for the CL's that is about to come out. When that car is released, you'll be able to do even better than that ($27K)! It also may have something to do with the maddening problems that plague MB cars.

it depends on mileage. condition. any issues.. first bet would be to check carfax and see how many owners it shows etc..

i see the same dealer is offering a convertible 02 m3 for 32k not bad.. i wish prices in California were this way....

the only thing that would suck is if all of the sudden everyone had a cl due to the price...but i doubt this will happen...most people do not realize they are so inexpensive to buy used.and the repair bills would contradict the used price anyway

M6 Gran Coupe
I wouldn't worry about that....how many S/early CL coupes do you see around? None. Remember, the normal person won't even buy an import because they think insurance is too high. The good thing is you can probably put 150k miles on the car and still will get $10k when you sell it....I don't see these cars ever getting lower than that, so you will profit eventually.

It's still a 100K car with 100K repair bills. The CL is my favorite non exotic car but I wouldn't touch it with 70K miles and no warranty.
