throttle response is much better at take off. not jumpy or jerky but much less lag. i can let my friend drive my car now. worth the $250.

you know how you first step on the throttle the car moves kind of slowly then pick up speed. this is caused by the drive by wire design of the mb's. people always talk about how responsive are the bmw's throttle. this little device fools the computer into thinking you are pressing the throttle more than you actually did. in other words, the car behave more like a mechanical throttle and more aggressive on first starts. do a search on sprint booster. there is a big controversy over at the w203 forum. i liked it alot. it makes the car behave more sporty on take off. ps. this thing does not give you any more hp or change your ecu in anyway. you know how the car gets more responsive after ecu reset? this make it double that and permanant.

drove a houndred miles around town today running errands (and testing out the new toy of course). my conclusion of sprint booster: should be installed in factory for buyers younger than 75, not legally blind and believes a car is NOT just a mean to get from point a to point b. i didn't notice any real worsening of mpg (maybe because it can't get much worse than 12mpg ). thought about selling the car before but now i think i will keep this little puppy. is it worth the price i paid? you bet your sweet behind it is. might order a couple more for my other cars when i get the cash. for those of you on the fence about this, just order it, you won't regret it i promise.

don't know how to link. just search for sprint booster for all of the forums and you will find it. like i said, lots of controversy. some say it's snake oil and some says it's a must have. i liked it and it's only $250. why not?

Where did you purchase this product from? I'll also ask the R129 forum if anyone tried it in their cars?

forgot to mention, if anyone is in the neighborhood (atlanta, ga), you are more than welcome to test drive mine or we can install it on your car to try it out. the installation is very simple.

not a problem, they are meant to be driven definitely a diy job. no more than 10mins for our cars. if a shop you normally go to charge you more than a handshake... don't ever go back there again.

Hmm....not sure I'd put something made in Singapore that doesn't come with instructions and is already controversial on a CL600. But hey, if you can afford the CL, you can afford any damage it the item causes it, right?!

None. What have you ever heard being made in Singapore that went on any car, let alone a Mercedes. Hey, it's your car, try what you want.

mrjr24,

I guess there is a little misunderstanding, the country of origin for this product is Greece.

no damage caused to my car. you might actually get better gas mileage with it if you are a conservative driver, you can get the rpms higher faster and shift to a higher gear sooner. it's shown that it's not how fast you accelerate but how soon you are in the highest gear possible that will save you gas. then again if you are a conservative driver you probably would not be buying the sprint booster.
