ok, i wanna file a complaint with CL owners who stick
a AMG badge on their non-AMG 500/600s. i have seen four so far and i have had just about enough. enhancing the look of your your car is one thing but falsely badging it should be a no-no 
. i've seen MUCH worse from other model cars but i expected better conduct from CL owners

This is funny. I feel that the CL600 looks plain on the right side, so I understand the temptation to put the badge there. I almost put on the AMG badge; I tried to justify in my own mind using the AMG badge since my car has the AMG sport package.
I'm glad to say that I did the Renntech upgrade, so I used the Renntech badge, instead of AMG. The badge on the right really makes a big difference in the look.

Please please, do not start this madness. I witnessed an explossion on the S Class (221) side of this forum and it was ugly. To make a long story short, A guy bought the new S class Sport Pkg. and the dealer offered him an "AMG" badge and he said "put it on" He posted pics and a few people went ape *****.
Socialism doens't exist here in America, so when if you want a Mercedes tattoo on your arm and you don't own one, more power to you.

yes, the engine is kind of the point isn't it? overall, it is in bad taste when
people use improper badging because where do you draw the line? i've seen honda civics with M3 badges, a red eclipse with ferrari stickers (placed just as the F360 is badged). bad taste is not illegal but it should be

Funny stuff
The part that cracks me up, is that anyone who would appreciate what an AMG badge means, knows that you aren't driving one!!
My favorite is still the guys who put 600 badges on old S320s. A guy used to have one of those and takes it to my buddie's shop. He cracked up when he went to pop the hood and saw a little 320. I told him he should charge the dude S600 prices for parts and repairs.
