My car is dead........
Is this just a battery issue? is it possible that my car would act like this from just the battery? It seems weird that Im getting no sign of life.
Anyone know what this could be? All the MB dealers are closed today.
Check all your connections and give it a good charge and you should be fine.
I meant to say that I replaced the battery in the remote, not the actual car battery.
I just tried to jump the car and it didn't want to turn over. When I connected the jumper cables, the car at least woke up in the sense that the lights came on and I was able to use my key. Unfortunately the car just made clicking noises when I tried to start it. Maybe it's the alternator or something else.

this is probably a sign that your battery had 0 life charge left in it so a jump will do you no good. I would call 1-800-MERCEDES for roadside to come and bring you a MB battery. They supposedly work 24/7 so they should be working today.
In this case, I think you're wrong. I think it's either the battery or Alternator. As soon as I hooked up the jumper cables, my car was alive. Unfortunately it didn't start, but I really feel that It's my battery, which is totally dead without the cables hooked up to it.

I called roadside and they came to my house. He changed the battery after testing it (it was dead) and it didn't cost me at all since the car is under warranty. I really missed my car while I was away.

I am on my second replacement on my 2000 CL500.
Seems that when you let them sit for extended periods
they dont last as long.
Always use MBZ Roadside Assistance for battery replacement.
You wont get a better deal at any strip mall auto parts place.
And Roadside will do the labor and reset all your warning lights !
The Battery on these cars is just one more consumable.
Every 25K. Tires, Brakes, Battery. Just the nature of the beast.
Nevermind, you fixed it.
Take your phone out of the cradle when you travel ... worked for me.
My '02 CL500 starts to drop after about 2 weeks of sitting and then, like yours, comes right up when put into gear. Some guys on the forum here say theres doesn't do this but I have my doubts. MB told me they get a lot of calls from the airport where people have let their's sit while they're away on a trip and don't know whether to drive the car or not after they return and see it deflated.

My car went dead yesterday, after we left it for about 2 hours. Came back and found the car literally dead. Left if overnight, the next morning I open the bonnet and it worked again. But, on the display, it showed "ESP malfunctioned". Then I switched off the car and started again, then "no malfunction found".
Anybody in this world know what is happening to my car, C200 Kompressor 2001. Thanks
