To all you CL600TT Renntech owners

How fast is our car?

I have read that a gentleman named Ben Treynor ran an 11.6 @ 122MPH with a S600TT Renntech. i know that car is about 200lbs more than the CL (correct me if im wrong). That's pretty much in the supercar territory. but im still wondering...

is it as fast as a:

Lamborghini Gallardo
Ferrari F430
Viper GTS
911 Turbo
Corvette Z06
BMW's M5/M6?

Your input would be much appreciated.

that's hella fast.... any info on the mods of the S600? saw an S65 w/ brabus ecu did 12.3 @124mph at Cal Speedway on street tires, I think it was even stock 19s. Crazy.... then there was an M5 (e39 not E60) did almost the same 12.6 @120mph but this guy did a lot to his M5, RMS supercharger etc.

i really didnt feel that the exhaust did much. midrange was a little better, but it was nothing like OH WOW after i put it on. guess the stock cans werent that restrictive. i am looking into a downpipe though. word around the grapevine is that the pipe is good for 100HP on our cars.

i consider myself fairly conntected to the grapevine i have not heard such data and I can tell you without a doubt that there isnt any exhaust component you can do to this car to gain 100hp, unfortunately

i understand that this might be comparing apples to oranges

but here it goes.

my friend had a 97 supra TT. he got a downpipe which basically deletes the factory cats. he gained 40+hp. im thinking logically with an engine that is almost twice the size, a number doubling that HP gain would make sense. but there is a guy out in LA with a SL600TT that supposedly has done it and thats where that 100HP comes from.

According to dragtimes.com, we would be right in the pack with the stock versions or all the supercars you listed. However, given our cars are easy to launch, it will take a very good driver to beat a Renntech CL600 from a dig with the exception of the 997 TT automatic. From a roll, the Viper, ZO6, and 997 TT look pretty close due to the trap speeds with the Z06 looking the best and the F430 looking the worst.

On my e55 the down pipes only added 10-15hp. I would like to see what you come up with. I looked under the car to see about removing extra cats or resonators and there were no resonators and the pipes looked as big and free flowing as one could get, maybe remove the mufflers to see how that does?
