How many CL owners want a carbon fiber lip?
Hey guys I'm just putting this out there because I saw it in another thread. Apparently if there are ten or more interested parties a mold can (possibly) be made and a cabon fiber lip can be produced. I have been wanting one so badly for my car and I think it would totally complete the look by adding a little "nasty" quality to the front fascia. How about a head count...who's interested?

Have you guys found a source yet? Its weird because the CL is one car i have had lots of people ask if we can make a lip for. We never did because we did not think it would be a seller. But i had 2 calls about it last week. We were focusing on the newer CL, but this has me thinking.....

as the w215 body has been decreasing in price, allot of new owners are gonna be coming into the market and picking em up, plus some who want to modify them. a Lip is just one thing I'm sure we ALL wanted.

I think we have at least 6 people on the forum that will shell out for a lip. I, for one, will double my down to get a lip...count me as two. I think the one thing about us CL owners is that we are totally passionate about our cars and will spend when we have to. This is one item that I REALLY want. Let's make this happen.

Actually, No. I started the thread that got everybody talking and stirring this action up. AMG was what I was after and what I assumed was the intention from Eurotech.

DA-its an AMG package thing....... you wouldn't understand lol.
most people who buy a CL with the regular kit and MOD their car end up changing over to a AMG style kit.

Gimme a break. I have checked the CL threads and there has been NO activity about a carbon fiber front lip...at all. If you look in the C forum you will find it all day long. I put a feeler out because there was a lot of talk on those forums and it was stated that if 10 or more want in...then a mold could be made. I have Sport which happens to have the AMG front bumper. That was my intention. Don't infer anything from my thread except my excitement at the possibility of getting someting I never thought would be available for our cars. It is hard enough getting ONE mold made let alone two or more. And I'm not selfish in any way. I have contributed quite a bit in the CL forum as a person new to the site...CL 500 double glazing issue...it was for the greater good. So you're excused.

Sorry guys. I overreacted. I hope this works out for all of us. Maybe we can open our eyes and see if we can locate some AMG front fascias for the non-sport guys.

I'm confused DA. I have a CL 500 Sport. It looks like an AMG without the performance.
I'm in the right forum. As far as what I am looking for: The carbon fiber lip, spoiler, fascia, fairing, whatever...goes under the existing front bumper. You have a standard front bumper, Goliath and I, and several others have the AMG bumper which looks considerably more aggressive but with the carbon fiber "lip" affixed under the stock bumper...it'll be off the hook!

As far as the bumpers being different, yeah the amg bumpers are different depending on the year.. 03 and up amg is different than 02 and below. Not sure if they redid them again in 05 tho goliath.
