Eisenmann Exhaust Pics and Video!

Eisenmann Race mufflers installed on my 2003 CL500. Install was done by Piper Motorsports in Sterling VA. I cut the stock bumper to fit duals and added a CL55 bumper trim piece. Trim had to be cut and sanded to fit bumper.

How's it look and sound?

I can try to find it for you. I went to MB dealer and asked for the trim piece for a 2003 CL55 and they pulled up the "blown-up" schematic that showed the back bumper clip. Of course everything is a seperate part which when added up costs a fortune. It cost me only $81 dollars and I think it really makes a big difference to the rear end.

I've had my BMW for more than 10 years and as far as I know, Eisenmann exhaust produces great sound and yields nice fitment for BMWs.

That being said, I noticed that the left exhaust tips on your car are a bit crooked and they're sticking out compared to the passenger side tips. I would take it back to the shop and have them adjust it accordingly.

Is the rear diffuser a direct fit on the sport package CL500 rear bumper? I wonder if the CL55 and CL500 sport package shared the same bumper or not. It's not the case with E36 BMWs.

You're right about the drivers side. The exhaust naturally points inward a little bit...but they are going to adjust the drivers side in a bit more. I haven't had the time to bring it by. The CL55 and CL 500 bumper is different. Even the AMG or Sport package that tend to look similar have different rear clips. I had to dremel the plastic a little bit to make it fit.

Sounds very nice. I like the deep sound of it. Love the way you walked into the car and back out.

For those who wants to know about the rear diffuser, with an 03' + CL55 or CL65 bumper you get that nice extra line below the diffuser, please see attach. With a regular sport package AMG bumper you will not get that look and it doesn't fit as nicely because you will have to trim the diffuser to make it fit your tips. But it still gives the rear a updated look.

Cool looking pipes. One slight imperfection - the exhausts look as they are sagging a bit, in an effort to clear the bumper cladding?

Sagging? I have no idea...they are W215 mufflers made by Eisenmann with the factor hangers.

Oh yeah. I thought APDesign was a company that made aftermarket bumpers I guess you could buy the CL55 or 65 bumper...but why? I spent $81 dollars for almost the same look. If you get up close you can tell it isn't a 55 but when you stand or drive behind it...I dare you to see a difference. A bet the rear bumper with all the clips and what not would set you back a TON. I'm saving my pennies for the CF front lip. I just dropped a couple grand on Brabus Mono V's so I have to chill with the spending.
Plus, I really don't think I could put a different bumper on and get the paint to match perfectly. This is a great alternative. It was a really fun project too!

good call, now about that bumper, what exactly needs to be cut in order for that thing to fit?

Actually, nothing really needs to be cut. The trim piece isn't an exact fit but it is really close. All I did was place it on the identation on the bumper where it gets mounted and visually see how much needed to be sanded around the corners. It didn't take much sanding with a Dremel tool to get it to fit nicely. The plastic piece sands well.
